Free internet was not working at all.

Free internet connection provided by the hotel was not working at all. Apart from that you can smell Chlorine from the pool located next to the reception area.

Nice clean hotel, close to the airport.

Posted Sep 27, 2014
Pros: Handy to the airport
Cons: Complimentary breakfast
We were able to move to a different room as we required a handicap bathroom. The staff graciously met our need.

Nice hotel

Posted Sep 27, 2014
Pros: It was clean & quiet & close to what we came to Richmond to see.
Cons: We could not get the wifi to work but did not try hard either. Not sure if that was an ongoing issue.
Location: The hotel is close to the airport. There are 2 Markets in the area but these are only during the summer. There are a few big-box stores nearby.
This hotel was chosen for it's proximity to an attraction in the area - the Richmond Night Market. We had been on the road for 7 hours the day we arrived so we were looking for a room that would not require significant travel time to visit the Market in the evening. We were actually able to walk to the Market from the hotel (nice after that much time in the car). The room was clean & quiet & the parking was complimentary for guests. The restaurant had a nice Sunday buffet - nothing fancy but a good variety to choose from.

The staff was OK but not very friendly. Old hotel. Not bad for a budget traveler.

Cheap place if stuck in Vancouver for the night

Posted Sep 18, 2014
Pros: There is not much to like.
Cons: Just about everything
For $99.99 I got a bed and a roof over my head and a working toilet. The TV did not work properly. There was no soap in the bathroom. The bath drain was very slow, I showered in several inches of dirty water. The carpet was noticeably stained. The toilet seat was disgusting - discolored, with rough edges - did not look clean. I don't know what they did to that toilet seat, and I don't want to know. I was on the 8th floor - it is quite noisy, even though I asked for a quite room, they put me on side with a noisy road (Bridgeport) outside my window, and a highway on my left (the quite side - if there is such a side, would have been on the hotel entrance side, and not where they put me. I also awoke sneezing - meaning there was something in the air in that room. All in all, its a place to say if you get stuck in Vancouver for a night while on business. I would not stay there for any longer than one night, and I definitely would not stay there if I were on vacation. This hotel is the second worst one I've encountered in the Vancouver area - the worst is the super 8 a few miles away. Both places need to be renovated.

Airport shuttle did not show for 45 minutes,

Posted Sep 12, 2014
Pros: Not much
Cons: Implode the building and start from scratch
Location: Wasn't there long enough to find out
shuttle did not show for 45 minutes, made a number of calls to hotel and told each time that it was a traffic problem, all crap the hotel is 10 minutes away. the mattress was well worn and on it's last legs, the towels were paper thin, and the internet was non existent, not even a bit of reception in the room, apparently the lobby is the only place it works
