Cheap place if stuck in Vancouver for the night

Posted Sep 18, 2014
Pros: There is not much to like.
Cons: Just about everything
For $99.99 I got a bed and a roof over my head and a working toilet. The TV did not work properly. There was no soap in the bathroom. The bath drain was very slow, I showered in several inches of dirty water. The carpet was noticeably stained. The toilet seat was disgusting - discolored, with rough edges - did not look clean. I don't know what they did to that toilet seat, and I don't want to know. I was on the 8th floor - it is quite noisy, even though I asked for a quite room, they put me on side with a noisy road (Bridgeport) outside my window, and a highway on my left (the quite side - if there is such a side, would have been on the hotel entrance side, and not where they put me. I also awoke sneezing - meaning there was something in the air in that room. All in all, its a place to say if you get stuck in Vancouver for a night while on business. I would not stay there for any longer than one night, and I definitely would not stay there if I were on vacation. This hotel is the second worst one I've encountered in the Vancouver area - the worst is the super 8 a few miles away. Both places need to be renovated.

Airport shuttle did not show for 45 minutes,

Posted Sep 12, 2014
Pros: Not much
Cons: Implode the building and start from scratch
Location: Wasn't there long enough to find out
shuttle did not show for 45 minutes, made a number of calls to hotel and told each time that it was a traffic problem, all crap the hotel is 10 minutes away. the mattress was well worn and on it's last legs, the towels were paper thin, and the internet was non existent, not even a bit of reception in the room, apparently the lobby is the only place it works

Good hotel close to the airport

Posted Sep 11, 2014
Pros: Free parking Clean room
Cons: The Wifi connexion was extremely slow
We didn't spend much time at this hotel since we were catching an early flight the next morning, but the bed was very comfortable. The room was very clean. The people at the front desk offered to give us a wake up call in the morning to make sure that we were not going to miss our flight.

Nice hotel

Posted Sep 7, 2014
Pros: The staff
Cons: Leaving soap and shampoo in bathroom.
Location: Need a car, not much walking around the hotel.
Didn't try the resturant below, didn't have a menu in the room, also didn't have a do not disturb sign either. Cleaning staff was friendly but never left soap or shampoo in our room. Beds were comfy. Reception staff was friendly. Nice pool

Perfect hotel for lay over from Hawaii to Toronto

Posted Sep 6, 2014
Pros: Close to airport and staff were friendly and it is clean hotel
Cons: N/A
Was very comfortable. Shuttle bus became very handy after YVR Sky train ride from East Vancouver.. It was a great option since I cannot get my own Starwood hotel employee StarHot rate at Sheraton Vancouver Airport for the second night stopover from Hawaii. The restaurant was perfect for breakfast. Front desk, housekeeping and restaurant staff were friendly
