Dirty and frustrating

Pros: The bed was comfortable and clean
Cons: Everything, especially teaching the cleaning staff how to clean properly and to report and replace stained tattered drapery and furniture
Location: I am unsure as I was flying in for a family vacation. If I had of been staying for longer then 1 night I would of checked out and into another hotel
I flew in from Toronto and arrived to Travelodge around 1am. The gentleman at the front desk was very polite and helpful in directing me to my room, the pool and where to find somewhere to eat. Unfortunately, when I arrived I found that there where cigarette burn marks all over the only comfortable chair and ottoman. I understand I requested a smoking room, but for the price was expecting the hotel to replace the material. The curtains actually had pieces of dirt and huge stains all over them. Not to mention the holes in the curtains as well. When I went to shower the next morning, the tub would not drain. After getting out and looking in the actual drain, I could see the clump of hair stuck in the drain. The complimentary coffee machine was actually broken. When I pulled out the coffee part to pour a cup, the top part that the filter and coffee goes into actually fell right out and the hot pack fell on my hand. I just kept it off to keep from further burns. I waited in the hotel restaurant for about 20 minutes until the hostess was able to serve me. I then gave her my room number, she told me about 10 minutes, again waited about half an hour for her to tell me I gave her the wrong room #. It is never the customers fault as I referred to my room key to give her the right one. Last on the list, I went to the front desk to purchase some batteries for my toothbrush to be told that the women who fills the case is the one with the keys to open it and she wouldn't be back.

Ok hotel

Pros: Location was good for what we needed.
Cons: Cleanliness of pool area and updating of room decor.
Location: Fairly close to anything you would want to do or anywhere you would want to eat.
Hotel was ok. Close to airport and easy to find. Pool area wasn't very clean. Room was a bit dated.

Close to YVR Airport

Pros: Shuttle to and from airport. Great price!
We stayed one night before heading out on a vacation. The hotel offered a wake up call at 4am so that we could take the 4:45am shuttle to the airport and the service was great! Nice and clean hotel with good staff. We highly recommend!

Cheap hotel for just passing through.

Pros: The staff was very helpful.
Cons: Cleanliness must be improved.
Location: It's close to the airport.
We stayed here one night on our way through. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was adequate. The bathroom was a bit gross, but bearable. Really, we just need a spot to sleep and this fit the bill.

Feel cheated

Pros: ? nothing impressed me.
Cons: Your comunication with Expedia so they know all of the things you do NOT provide!
Location: We only slept there before and after our flight.
Booked through expedia - was charged in US dollars. Asked for parking to be included for duration of our trip - we were charged. Asked for shuttle service - found that it only ran till 12:30am. Came close to missing shuttle. If we had not had a tail wind we would have missed our shuttle meaning that a taxi would have to be paid for. We have used the Ramada before which provided ALL that we required. We will use the Ramada again in the future. Also heard complaints from the person in front of us who was having difficulty getting an acceptable room. Took three tries.
