Exceptional gesture by the Front Desk...

Posted Sep 1, 2014
Upon check-in we were greeted by a lovely gal at the front desk. We mentioned that we were in the city to drop our daughter off at the University of Victoria for the first time. The gal was gracious and wished our daughter the best of luck. About a half an hour later we returned to our room only to find that room service had dropped off a cheese tray and some chocolate covered strawberries along with a handwritten note from the front desk manager congratulating our daughter and wishing her the best of luck in her new adventure..Absolutely floored us that someone would've made that effort and made it happen so quickly. We absolutely will come to this hotel again and are extremely grateful at the lovely gesture of the front desk manager.

OUTSTANDING VIEW OF THE CITY.

Posted Aug 6, 2014
Pros: LOCATION
Location: SHORELINE WALK, NIGHT MARKET WAS OUTSTANDING.
GREAT TIME. GREAT PEOPLE. WISH WE HAD MORE TIME TO SPEND IN THE GREAT CITY OF VANCOUVER. ONLY HAD THE ONE DAY. BUT, MADE THE BEST OF THE BEAUTIFUL SUNNY DAY ON THE SHORELINE. AND A GREAT TIME THAT NIGHT AT THE RICHMOND NIGHT MARKET. CAN'T WAIT TO DO A RETURN TRIP.

Over priced. It should be rated a three star

Posted Aug 5, 2014
Rooms where small. Shower stalls where small. Ac was loud. Room layout was tight. Paid 500 for the night with 33 dollars for parking. Not worth the price. 150 dollars should of been just right.

WE were booked with an alternate hotel that was very weak on all fronts. in a dire situation we explained our dilemma and the staff worked diligently to not only find us a room but also a reasonable price. With a family in tow this and our first time in Vancouver, the Marroit allowed us to have a positive experience on our first stay.

QUIET city view room, great food/bar/business ctr!

Posted Jul 18, 2014
Pros: Staff was really nice and patient with us, since we had a bit of scanning to do. Amazing Apple work station.
Cons: Room was a bit small, but thankfully extremely quiet.
Location: Walked safely everywhere. Did not use car. Do not even bother with a car. Public transport, walking or biking everywhere.
So...the room was a bit smaller than expected, but it was QUIET. No worries there. There is a large exercise area if I wanted to exercise...which I didn't. Great location. Rooms were very well appointed, bedding was comfy. Great close to a long trip. My son's room had a great view of the harbor. Front desk had great recommendations of things to do. See concierge. Very helpful.

Excellent location!

Posted Jul 10, 2014
Pros: The room was comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
We stayed here 2 nights before leaving Vancouver on an Alaskan cruise. We enjoyed walking to Stanley Park, and since we were there on Canada Day, participated in the celebration right across the street. The location can't be beat.

Beautiful room overlooking the harbour

Posted Jun 18, 2014
Pros: The staff were pleasant and overall the room was quite clean. The bed was luxurious.
Right in the heart of the city, along the waterfront. Very easy to walk to the main shopping areas, the harbour or any of the wonderful restaurants in the area. Close to the subway line.
