Excellent location! Walk anywhere!

Posted Aug 3, 2015
Beautiful rooms, nice staff; helpful. No AC so that was surprising and open windows made for a very noisy night. Would be perfect in the fall, winter or spring but the heat was unbearable at the end of July. A fan doesn't cut it when it's 30 degrees outside. Sleeping was impossible with the heat and noise!

Nice piece of history right in downtown

Posted Aug 3, 2015
This hotel was opened in 1898 and is a great place to stay. The hotel still has its historical charm with fully updated rooms. It is also is walking distance from bc place stadium so it is great if you are planning on going to an event.

Historic hotel but not the amenities I expected

Posted Aug 2, 2015
Pay attention to what you book. We got a shared bathroom down the hall and since I'm out of my college years I would've preferred my own as well as lot having to wait 30 min for a shower. As well, there's no AC and the room was very stuffy. The guy at the front desk let my husband take the fan from the lobby because I was so miserable. The breakfast was just ok & the day shift lady was a bit rude to us at checkout. It was cool to stay at a historic place but next time I'll book at a newer hotel

Buen hotel modesto, bien ubicado, excelente trato

Posted Aug 1, 2015

It was a nice. It is in the heart of the city but the rooms are very small and there is no restroom on the rooms... but i guess it was ok for what i pay.

Good location in Vancouver Downtown

Posted Jul 29, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Continental Breakfast
Location: Gas District, train station, hop on hop off bus stop, observation tower/needle all nearby
Expedia failed to note that 3 to 4 rooms share a bathroom. We had no problems and never saw others. Bathrooms always open. Hotel is updating and renovating. It will look great when finished. It was clean and had a large fan in the room THANK GOODNESS !! Hottest weather almost on record and no air conditioning! Continental Breakfast could be better. Canned fruit, apples, cereal, croissants, toast, coffee and tea.

The Victorian Hotel was just lovely. A true old fashion city hotel. The rooms were well appointed, and very comfortable. If you looking for a industry standard (key cards and elevators) then this is not the hotel for you. But if you want a friendly staff and true charm in a great location, then this place is for you.

Lack of air-conditioning and an elevator was a challenge.

Location was great but the hotel was old.

Posted Jul 22, 2015
The hotel lacked modern facilities. There was no air conditioning. Too pricey for such a horrible place. It needs to be retrofitted with modern facilities. Hotels are meant for leisure and relaxation but I must say the Victorian is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

Central to everything

Pros: The character and history of the hotel. Like the updates and liked that they offered breakfast as well.
Location: It is close to BC place, Rogers Arena and science world, as well as places to shop and eat.
It was only one night but overall it was pleasent. It was close to the event we attended and close to shopping and restaurants. Staff was welcoming and accomodating.
