Beautiful location with convenient free boar cruising to downtown every hour and a half during warm season. Food in hotel restaurant a bit pricy. Hotel staff not experienced with international hospitality level. Overall good deal for a buck!

Staff friendly and informative. Free parking but must register or will get a ticket. Short distance walk to city along riverfront. Laundry services available. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect weekend stay for Bruce Springsteen
We had an excellent stay at Dockyard Hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room nice and comfortable. Even the gluten-free bread tasted good at breakfast. Exactly what we needed for our Bruce Springsteen concert visit. Gothenburg showed itself at it best for my partner’s first visit to Sweden. We are glad we decided to stay a bit outside the town centre.

When we checked in we were told our room was in another building, and this worried us. We had to go back outside to their annex, but these rooms were AMAZING! Bathroom is on the entry level, four steps up is a living room with a couch and coffee table and tv, upstairs is a bedroom loft. The views were lovely. It felt wonderful to have so much room in Europe! Air conditioning would be such a help, but I know this isn't common in Europe. Breakfast was also quite a spread! The only issue we ran into was that the deadbolt lock on our door wasn't working, but we still felt safe as entry to the building was only for guests of that specific building. The dockyard area was very very quiet, and it was fun to watch the ferries and ships go by. It was a bit of a drive back to places to eat (there is a restaurant on premises but I'm picky and didn't like the offering), but parking at the hotel was FREE when you provide your license plate. We would definitely return.

Great find on outskirts of Goteborg
Great place to stay while in Goteborg, beautiful water views, close enough to the city and to spar vagnen, also great breakfast and informal dinner/bar.

Stayed for 2 night in the family size room. Recommend to get that size for even for two people. Split level room. The rooms are bit small and bathroom is tiny but it’s doable. Free parking and free breakfast was a plus. Not many restaurants in the area. It’s about 15 min driving to the city. View of the harbor it nice and peaceful. I would rent a car to stay in the area.

It is right at the dock. We looked out onto a research ship. We ate dinner on the patio overlooking the harbor. Our room was simple but spacious. The bed was comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay.

Small bathroom. Staff unhelpful regarding their mistake in not giving us room with two beds .Made no effort to offer alternatives the next day. Free parking a bonus. 15 mins walk to tram stop. Walk into city an hour mainly by river. Hotel has free shuttle boat which good but sailing times limited

Lack of car security at car parking
Hotel and view ware nice, but there is no security for car park. Someone open the car and stolen some stuff inside, include car documents. Hotel staff help to call to police, but according to the staff there is no security cams around the hotel. There was no telefone in the room and 3 lights were not working. During the check out the hotel, I was payed for one extra bed, but according to my reserve it was for 2 adults and one 10 years old kid. The extra bed was one sofa-bed that ahead in the room and it was not comfortable even for a kid.

Waterfront hotel with free boat ride to downtown
+ The waterfront hotel with the restaurant facing to the harbor! You can enjoy a drink and watching sunset, large boats passing by! If you look for a relax area away from downtown it’s the place. There is another restaurant with a garden nearby and that’s it. You can have a free boat ride to downtown back and forth from the hotel. No need to move the car! Location is absolutely amazing, free and easy parking in the whole neighborhood. - breakfast was quite basic, you may need to have your own fresh fruits, juice with you. The double rooms are not suitable for people who needs assistance neither babies who should be kept away form the stairs. The service could be more helpful and friendly.

Short stay at the Dockyard.
A two night stay to just relax and enjoy ourselves in and near Gothenburg. Smooth check-in and registration of car made it a good start. The room was clean and cozy, without too much noise from neighbouring guests. Breakfast was also good and fresh.

Nice location. Room OK but lacking some flavour. Breakfast really poor, lacking essentials. They take Covid as pretext to have it "downscaled" although it is still a buffet where everyone is touching everything.

Our second stay in the hotel and our room was as good as last time. We stayed in the old prison, which is very good value for money. The fridge in the room is very useful. There was a large kitchen on our floor for visitors use and there was a laundry that could be used in the evening. Just a shame that the lovely restaurant had closed, despite the pictures that are still on the website. Food is now served in the main hotel in a bar type restaurant. Choice of menu items was not as good and neither was the service. Breakfast is very good. Plenty of choice, although when we came down later one day small groups came in to use it like a meeting room. The location of the hotel is very good and we would use it again.
