“Putting the record straight”
Having first booked a room at the Central Hotel, I then went online and read some of the dramatic complaints from a few previous guests. Our experience was of friendly and helpful staff (happy to loan us a variety of chargers and adaptors and look up info on their computer for us) and a basic but perfectly fine room in a very convenient central location. When you pay basic rates, that would seem to be value for money. There are plenty of one-size-fits-all-with-a-mini-bar hotel chains if you want to play it safe, or luxury if you want to pay the price for it. But for my money, this was just fine.
“good for the price”
Great central location. Nice outdoor courtyard. The room was small, but the A/C worked wonderfully! I'd recommend this for a budget conscious traveller who can handle the quality of a 2 star hotel.
