Nice hotel centrally located in old town.Posted Oct 15, 2013
Pros: The hotel's location, the cleanliness and the wonderful staff.
Cons: It would be nice to have an elevator or at least someone who might carry the luggage to the room.
Location: Stay in Avignon and take day trips to Orange, Pont de Gard, Arles and Nimes. Buses and trains near hotel. Every restaurant and sights are near hotel
The hotel's location is fabulous. All museums, other places of interests (e.g., Palais des Papes and Pont St-Benezet), excellent restaurants and train and bus stations (other than the TGV train station) were located in easy walking distance. I liked everything about the hotel except the fact that it did not have an elevator. My room was on the forth floor (third floor in France). The breakfast, for which there was an extra charge, was well worth it. Indeed, it was a bargain. The staff was great and would go out of their way to help you. I would stay in this hotel again.

Walking distance to the historic centerPosted Sep 3, 2013
Pros: Location, absolutely.
Cons: We could definitely use a lift/elevator
Location: Notre Dame des Doms cathedral, Palais des Papes, The Rue de la Republique, Place de l'Horloge
Very conveniently located. The attendants were nice and kind. The downside is definitely the lack of elevators. We stayed in the room 304, which was at the very top of the stairs, with 3 large suitcases in hands. Otherwise the room was quite comfy, facility is clean, and is really near all the actions and reasonably priced.

Convenient location and a great price!Posted Aug 12, 2013
Hotel Danieli is in a fantastic location for café lifestyle and seeing the Palais des Papes including the many other sites and experiences Avignon has to offer. We found all conveniences local with great restaurants and shops plus lovely walks. Although the room was clean and quiet it was basic but the hotel receptionists were so friendly and so helpful (we accidently forgot to take out travel plug and they loaned us a spare). Our overall view was that we couldn't have been in a better location and for the price is was really good value for money.

Quaint and charmingPosted Aug 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
Avignon was a highlight of our trip and Hotel Danieli was quaint and charming. Very close to the provincial city center, but far enough to experience the ancient neighborhoods. Room was functional and provided just enough climate control to refresh from the blazing August heat. Desk personnel were very helpful and courteous. Directed us to off-the-path restaurants -- a plus. Would choose this moderately priced hotel again.

Quiet room, good airconPosted Aug 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
The room was on the 2nd floor, no lift, heavy cases - yuck. But when we got to the room, it was incredibly quiet even though it was bang in the centre of Avignon. Also, the aircon did the job and we had a quiet, cool night's sleep. Very welcome.

shares a front entrance with a youth hostel.Posted Jul 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
World's scratchiest towels, probably dried outdoors? The entrance was littered with construction garbage and trash, making it hard to walk. We had to ask for toilet paper. Petit dejeuner included processed cheese and hot dogs in a jar. The air conditioning was dismal. The room appeared to be remodeled, but 3 of the walls were blank, and linoleum on the floors lent it an industrial or institutional feel. That said, it was conveniently located in the middle of the main avenue, close to theatres and restaurants.

Great location and good valuePosted Jul 15, 2013
Pros: Location, overall condition and staff
Cons: No lift
Location: Only about 200 metres from the centre city square of Avignon
This is a nice hotel in an historic building in the old city of Avignon. So if you value location and charm more than modern fittings it is a winner. Rooms are comfortable and clean and staff are helpful and friendly. The only negative is no lift but the hotel is careful to warn of this on their website so providing you are forewarned and physically able to lug bags upstairs that is no problem. It probably helps keep the rates good value.

Great location, not so great hotelPosted Jul 3, 2013
Pros: Service was OK.
Cons: Not clean.
Location: Excellent location.
Within walking distance to main sites. Very close to Place de l'Horlogue. Depressing lobby and entrance. No elevator. Small, Poorly furnished rooms. Bathrooms smalls and not too clean. Not the best option.
