Modern Hotel in Central Tourist locationPosted Nov 4, 2014
A very nice hotel, and very well located for the main tourist attractions, but in a quiet back street. That it does not have a restaurant is no drawback, but the furniture in the lobby and the bar area is not the most comfortable. However, it is modern, well presented and the staff are very friendly and efficient.

Pleasant stay.Posted Oct 9, 2014
The hotel is very well located, but it is difficult to find. We had a hard time because the address in te GPS does not respond to the hotel's. We were driving and since the parking is in the other street it' s not easy. It is next to the other Mercure. I noticed that it does not have handicap facilities. Right outside the hotel there is a little cafe and a shopping street. We stayed just two days and the location couldn' t be better. Besides you receive a 20% dicount on the parking ticket.

Good location with small rooms and terrible parkinPosted Oct 9, 2014
Small rooms but well laid out. Nespresso machine and modern shower. Very noisy aircon. We stayed with 8 year old in sofa bed so barely enough room to swing a cat. Too small for three people. Parking situation was terrible. Had to lug all luggage in and out with numerous steep stairs as no parking out the front when we wanted to arrive and leave. Requested fresh milk for tea and was then charged for this.

Beautiful hotel in ideal locationPosted Oct 7, 2014
Pros: Everything....great staff, comfort, clean, good breakfast and location, location, location....cannot beat it
Cons: We should have stayed longer....two nights not nearly enough
Location: Everything...in the heart of old city, food historic shopping all in easy walking
this hotel was wonderful, clean, comfortable, great breakfast (extra but well worth it) write in the middle of old city of Avignon, just around corner from Popes Palace and historic spots - 5 minute walk to famous bridge....great cafes in walking distance - wonderful food - front desk staff were really friendly and helpful. Easy cab ride to train station to other towns (Arles) making this hotel excellent base for a few days....do not only spend one night - enjoy the wonderful experience of Avignon in really comfortable hotel for several days...next trip we are going to spend longer here....well worth the money for comfort and location.

Pros: staff was nice.
Cons: an elevator into and out of hotel. An accurate menu.
Location: at extreme end of Avignon near palace of popes made hotel quite but a middle location would have made exploration easier.
the hotel was quiet.stairs in and out of hotel with luggage was hard.

Excellent HotelPosted Sep 30, 2014
Location: It is inside the ancient walls, close to the Papal palace, within easy walking of the streets and restaurants and daily life of the city.
This hotel is pretty much perfect, new, modern and well designed, excellent location, great staff, good breakfasts, I cannot think of anything that would make it better.

Couldn't use outlets in bathroom, they were 'razor only, not uncommon though there was not a hotel provided hair dryer that worked in the bathroom. Other than that, location was fantastic, parking was great, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Very close to Pont d'Avignon.Posted Jul 24, 2014
Pros: It's very convenient location to tourist spots.
Cons: Shuttle service to the train station
Location: Pont d'Avignon, Palais des Papes and Le Jardin des Doms / Rocher des Doms, jog/walk around the ramparts (4km circle), walk along the Rhone river
This is a modern hotel, lots of chrome and white leather. We stayed at the end of May in room 307. The room was small, very clean and the bed was comfy. The room was exceptionally quiet for the hotel's central location. A two minute walk to the Pont d'Avignon and a five minute walk to the Palais des Papes and Le Jardin des Doms / Rocher des Doms. Huge breakfast: fruit, cheese, baked goods, eggs & sausages, jams, cereals, yogurts, juices, coffee and tea selections - really I can't think of a breakfast option they didn't offer. Staff was very helpful and courteous at check-in and breakfast. One morning we overslept and I booted down to the breakfast 5 minutes before it was to end. I asked if they minded if I took some back to the room for my husband who was still sleeping. The breakfast attendant brought me a tray with cup and plates and miniature jam jars to carry his breakfast.

Good locationPosted Jul 18, 2014
They tried to charge a surcharge when we arrived for the 3rd person in the room. Only allow you 2 paper cups per day for espresso machine and no more than an initial bottle of water per person. Cramped with 3, couldn't open the door to balcony with bed down
