Very nice hotel

This hotel was very nice, right next to the ski slope. We got view on the street, but it was fine. I recommend to pay a little extra for the view of the Alps. The only complain I have is the bed is too hard and the pillows were to soft. I didn't really have a good sleep cause the bed was so hard. Otherwise everything was good.

Hotel de Gulf is Villars best stay

The hotel is perfectly located right across the street from the train station in the middle of town. The valley-side rooms have spectacular views of the Dent de Midi alps and the Rhone Valley. There is a great restaurant in the hotel and a nice bar. All the shops and restaurants in town are within walking distance (some of it uphill!). The hotel was charming and comfortable, and the staff friendly and professional and fluent in English, French, and other languages.

The hotel was perfect and everything promised. A very short walk to the funicular for the ski area, comfortable, good food and very friendly. Good parking and near to shops.

Another relaxing stay at Hotel du Golf

Villars is a perfect resort for a weekend/long weekend skiing (there's perhaps not enough to keep you occupied for a week). The Hotel du Golf is conveniently placed in the centre of the town and although not ski-in-ski-out it is not far from the small train that takes you up to the slopes. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with great views across the valley. The breakfasts are good - dinners in the upstairs restaurant are typically formal, but there is a more relaxed restaurant downstairs and other options in the town. The hotel doesn't have a pool but the has recently renovated its spa area which is nice enough.

Great Service

The hotel is located right on the rail line- request a room that is opposite of the tracks, as the trains are very loud. The service was excellent, as was the restaurant.

I stayed in May which was out of the main peak seasons so the hotel was very quiet and the hotels restaurants were closed. My room was large clean and comfortable. The balcony had a nice view and the staff were friendly. There's nothing I can fault.

Good hotel in a great spot

Our room (deluxe) was large, comfortable, and had great views over to the mountains. The hotel is well located in the town, close to the main lift. We didn't eat in the hotel, but the restaurant and menu looked good. The bar was very pleasant with friendly service. All, in all a good hotel. Only mild criticism would be that the hotel looks a bit tired in places and would benefit from some cosmetic refurbishment.
