Dorado is such a beautiful location. The hotel staff were so sweet and accommodating. Close to good dining options.. must go to KGB for breakfast. Great having a little beach right on property. Only suggestion I have is to bring a little clip to keep the curtains closed the pool light comes through the sliver between curtains. I rented a car but plenty of people didn’t and had a great time.

If you want somewhere that is secluded but still a short drive from all the things THIS IS IT! We spent most of our morning doing excursions in San Juan and Carolina, but after we’re got tired of all the crowds we always found ourselves back at the hotel! It was so peaceful, great drinks, friendly staff! We played bingo and won free drinks (who doesn’t love free things) we have already made plans to come back!!

The outdoor relaxation and swimming/soaking/splashing areas were exquisitely kept and met the needs of young and old. Safety in terms of water features' visibility and variable depths was wonderful, as was natural features and warning flags and maps of each day's rip-tide conditions. Also, loved that there was so much to do for kids without making the whole place too childish for a romantic adult getaway. I love that the pools close at 10, restaurant stays open until 11:00 and no casino. This invites people with good intentions and doesn't seem a very enabling place for predators to lurk. Thank you

Overall a good experience. The place was very clean and good customer service. However I would recommend the property to keep the pool and activity center open a little longer. Perhaps until midnight. Everything was closed at 10pm and my group had to choice but to leave and find other things to do outside the property.

The property was clean, quiet, and on a private beach, which was definitely a plus. The only reason why I only gave it 4 stars is because of the ants inside the apartment. The front desk sent someone right away to spray, but it didn’t work, ants were still running all over the kitchen.

We had a relaxing time here- pool is lovely- big and deep. Beach is right there- feels very private. Action is there very little and the place could do with a restaurant beyond the (good) beach bar as breakfast/lunch and dinner there gets old. You need a car. I liked it so much we booked an extra night. Good for families with young kids. Clean and comfortable rooms. I would return. Doardo is ok, vega alta definitely "Local but we kinda like that. The people in Puerto Rico are so lovely. Refreshing to meet such genuinely nice people.

The staff were all amazing! Our one bedroom villa was great for a family of four. Pool area and gardens beautifully maintained and landscaped. The Mahi Mahi grill had great food and cocktails! Beach area was beautiful and very private. We would definitely recommend this place to everyone! We had a great time!

We could snorkel wonderfully right off the beach! ( on the East part) ( we had our own gear) water access was so easy with my broken foot. It was really pretty, never felt crowded. Lovely trip!

A pound arrival to check in at 630am there was no power/electricity at all, I was told they were working on it and would notify me via text when it was back up. I had just got off a what was suppose to be a 4 hr flight but turned 6 1/2 hr flight and my phone was completely dead and with no power I I had no way to charge it. My guest and I left and while gone got a text that power would be back on at 5:30pm. We got back around 5:45pm and power still was down and did not get restored til 6:30pm. The next day Friday Feb 5th the electricity went out again for a couple hrs in the morning then once that was restored the hot water was shut off for several hrs 1:30pm til 4pm to be exact. And on top of all of that I call the front desk that night to ask a question ( not knowing the front desk stops taking calls after a certain hr) and the front gate guy answers the phone and says “ hello front xxxx” and I respond with “ hi is this the front desk” ( because I didn’t hear anything besides the word front) he then responds with a very nasty loud attitude and says “ I SAID THIS IS FRONT GATE, WHAT DO YOU NEED?” I could not believe my ears and I am demanding a call and response from corporate as well as a refund asap!!! This is unacceptable and a horrible experience for my first time. 8047092687

The water is only like warm, we never had even warm water in the evenings. We had a backed up sink that wasn’t fixed until 24 hrs later. We also requested a room change due to sharing a wall with a large group that was loud. We never got a call back after giving our info to the front desk.

We recently went to Hyatt on spring break. We called ahead of time to confirm the details of our room assignment since we requested connecting rooms and we were assured that our rooms would be side-by-side and everything was good to go. When we showed up it was a different story and there was no willingness to make it right. We weren’t able to get a room right next to our kids, the room was around the corner, which was not OK for us. In addition to the room fiasco, we never had hot water the entire time. We called maintenance and they said they were going to fix it but never fixed it. And to top it off our last day the electricity was out the entire day and we were told that this is something that happens often, but that there was nothing that the hotel could do about it. We made the most of our trip, the property was nice and on the beach, but we were looking forward to better service from the staff, and more activities on site. It seems like the activity staff just stood around and just watched people in the pool. We will definitely not be visiting again, and will not be recommending this resort to anyone else.

The Hyatt was the perfect place for our family of 4 to stay for a few fun days in Puerto Rico. Updated and cleans rooms, large pool, beachfront access. The hotel wasn’t overly crowded. Plenty of chase lounges near the pool and on the beach. The beach bar/restaurant, The Mahi Mahi grill was the only dining option, but had a fairly large menu and good food. The hotel is a little remote from anything else, so renting a car is a must if you want to get around. Staff was lovely and helpful.

We had an awesome trip. The beach and pool were perfect for our boys. Game room was hit. Most importantly the staff was amazing!!

Had a absolute pleasure staying at the Hyatt Vacation Club at Hacienda Del Mar. All members of the staff were polite and welcoming. The amenities were incredible. Definitely coming back!

I was tough getting ubers and food place shut down by 10, 11. Make sure you have food and snacks in your room. Renting a car is highly recommended because adventures are typical 1.5 hrs away to 3 hrs. Other than those things, it was AMAZING

We had a wonderful stay! The rooms were clean and quite! The kitchen and laundry was so convenient! Being able to walk right out to the beach or enjoy the pool was so relaxing. We are hoping to go back again in the near future.
