Proprietor was not at the property when I arrived at sunset… property was dark. There was a note on the front door to call him. I tried to call but couldn’t get through; fortunately there was another guest there who was able to reach him. He was at a soccer match with his kids but he left the key in the door. Why couldn’t he have sent me an email ahead of time to explain? The room was shabby… lower than Motel 6 standard. Table lamps did not work, there was mold in the shower. Mattress was very, very soft (my bad for not inquiring ahead of time). Owner eventually came by to collect payment and I had him replace the bulbs. The owner seemed like a nice person but I can’t recommend this property… would rather have spent a little more money for a more pleasant experience.

Clean room. Our room was one flight of stairs up. Had to park outside the gate, perpendicular to the street, walk through walk gate and down about 30 (?) meters to the stairs up which were outside along the side of the building. The Bistro seemed to be closed. My husband said he felt every spring in the mattress. I slept well.

Not reliable, not flexible/travel-friendly
After having a road accident and being late, the owner did not want to wait a bit after midnight to let us into the hotel but just said he is closing at 00 and took our money, never refunded. Maybe the place is fine, but if you want a safe stay near the Airport (where delays easily happen due to flight delays, or like in our case, road accidents) this is not the solution. This is something small, without a reception desk 00-24. It is not clear to me how we would leave either if we would want to leave to the airport at 4 (our flight was at 6 am) if they are not working and if they lock the door.

Perfect overnight stay near airport

Great place to stay if you're catching an early morning flight out of Zagreb airport. It was clean and modern. Owners were very friendly, helpful and accomodating. They had driven us downtown and to the airport at a good rate. Would definitely stay again!\

Lovely guesthouse.

Amazing Little Family Bistro! Great Place to Stay
We only stayed here for one night as we were heading off the airport the next day. Upon our arrival we were warmly greeted and immediately shown our room, which was clean, newly updated and had everything we needed (including free wifi). The hosts recommended places to eat in the area and after dinner had beer in the bistro for us. In the morning we had breakfast provided by the staff and they gave us a shuttle ride to the airport for a very good price. This is an excellent place to stay especially for a night or two when either flying into or out of Zagreb as it is 5 minutes from the airport! Would recommend to anyone!

Great Last Night Accommodation
Nice hotel, very close to the airport. The hosts made us dinner in the restaurant. It was the perfect place for the last day of our trip. It was quiet and comfortable.

It was fantastic, the hotel and staff we're brilliant. Zagreb was really nice, everyone we met was just so helpful, friendly and pleasant.People just coming up and asking if they could help, the zoo was great cabs we're cheap, tram were cheap and free WiFi throughout city was amazing.It was marvellous can't wait to go back.

They were so nice and so kind. Very helpful and friendly and we would be happy to stay again. They were great. We ended up not being able to travel at the last minute and we found them and they helped us make the most of being stuck an extra day.

Very nice, close to airport.
Clean, nice, comfortable rooms, close to Zagreb airport which worked nicely for our 9 am flight. Host very pleasant. For an additional 6 or 7 euros you can have a breakfast, which we did not do but nice to have that option. Also, very good,easy parking spot for our rental car which can be hard to come by in Croatia!

Fantastic Customer Service!
I ended up coming down with a terrible case of the flu while we were in Croatia, and our planned one-night stay at Stari Jasen ended up being three nights while I was bedridden. The staff was absolutely incredible. They took excellent care of us. They brought food to the room, and even shared some special soup with us. The owner even drove my wife to the pharmacy for some meds. The staff went above and beyond what they were required to do, and we felt so happy to be staying there during my terrible sickness. Other notes: —The internet was very reliable. I was really impressed. —The neighborhood is close to the airport, but there is really nothing in the area. No stores, no restaurants. If you want to eat something other than what is offered at the restaurant on site, you'll have to get a car. —The floors in the rooms are all tile. You might want to bring some slippers with you to keep your feet warm.

Quite, family run hotel near the airport.
This is a great family run hotel in a quiet neighbourhood near the airport (but no airport noise). Room was very clean, fairly spacious and had a very good wifi connection. Easy and flat 1km walk to bus stop for a 15-20 minute ride into Zagreb. Highly recommended for an airport stay or anyone who doesnt mind not being right in the centre of town.

Our first night in Croatia, traveling with my elderly mother and not knowing what to expect. The taxi driver got a little lost, so be sure to give good directions (in a residential neighbourhood...we explored in the evening and felt very safe). This family run business made us feel like family. Super clean, brand new room and a rustic bistro where we had hardy and affordable dinner and breakfast. Very helpful with transport into Zagreb the next day. A warm welcome to Croatia and warm thanks to all the family who treated us so well!
