Good base location for Paris area visitPosted Aug 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
Good base location for Paris area visit, but no direct access to transit, especially on Sunday as we found out when having to take a bus to a stop outside of easy walking distance of the hotel and then phone and wait for the hotel shuttle service to pick us up. Staff are helpful and friendly when not over-occupied with the large volume of tour bus crowds checking in and out. The lobby was clogged with tour bus passengers and baggage each morning and late afternoon, the elevators are small and full for long periods during these times requiring us to use the stairs to get to and from our room on the 4th floor to avoid long waits.

Stopover hotel to visit Vercailies and Paris.Posted Aug 16, 2013
Great location very easy to catch buses to train and metro station, shopping centre and numerous restaurants nearby. Hotel free mini bus was not available for us and not given details of how to book it but bus fares were very cheap. OK restaurant evening meal, good breakfast selection but quite expensive. We got 4 nights stay at a very reasonable price. Room clean however bit of a problem with the fact we were only given 2 towels, cups, glasses, teabags etc when there were 4 of us in the room. When asked for more refreshments and glasses - told to ask in the restaurant who were a bit funny about giving them! Also we returned to our room one day at 3:30 pm and it had not been cleaned - however on the day of our departure we returned to the room after breakfast at 9:30am and the beds and bathroom had already been done - the maid had thrown our toothbrushes in the bin!

OK hotelPosted Aug 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel is right opposite a large shopping centre which is handy for wine for your room, saves paying 33euros for a bottle in the bar. About 10 miles from Paris but the hotel provides a shuttle to the local rail or Metro staion then its about 10 -15 minutes in the centre. If the shuttle isn't available, a bus from around the corner gets you to the metro in about 15 minutes. All staff we came across were friendly. Check-in was no problem for us as we were the only ones checking in when we arrived, but later that night the reception was chaos as what looked like several tour buses arrived together! Lovely pool, but no locks on lockers. Would saty agin.

Unexpectedly great family hotel with great servicePosted Aug 9, 2013
Pros: Very comfortable, near to fantastic shopping centre, handy for versailles and shuttle fantastic for making link to metro for Paris
Location: Outside Paris but ideal with Shuttle bus taking you to the metro from where you can travel to anywhere in Paris
Excellent 3 night stay in the Mercure Paris Velizy. Great service from the very start of our stay. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a king sized Privilege room which was spacious and well appointed and plenty of room for us and our 5 year old. Free wifi and buffet breakfast was included in our price. Breakfast - great selection - even for the pickiest 5 year old boy! Shuttle bus from the hotel to the nearest metro station in Pont de Sevres was really handy and was available every time we needed it.Indoor heated pool great for relaxing after long days walking in Paris. Staff were very friendly, patient with our rusty french and very generous. Loved our stay here.

Really nice place to stay for visiting both Versailles and Paris with lots of nice restaurants and a big supermarket on the doorstep. Great value through Expedia compared to the list price!

Great Facilities & StaffPosted Jul 29, 2013
Pros: Spacious room
Location: Bit out of the way
Lovely hotel. Room very spacious and the bathroom was spotless and lovely marble. We used the swimming pool and had it to ourselves. The only downside was the location it seemed to be in business park but we had a car so it was not an issue. The receptionist was very helpful and made photocopies of maps for us and gave good advise. I would stay here again the lobby was comfortable and there was a bar and restaurant. We had booked a family room and the bed was not set for our son but as soon as we called down to reception they promptly arrived and set this up for us. He even went and got us bucket of ice as he could see we were having a drink! Very helpful.
