Not very friendlyPosted Aug 20, 2008
A lovely appartment with a good position for the beach. Long walk to the main beach where most of the activities went on. Very unfriendly though towards us because we werent french. at The welcome meeting virtually ignored us because we didnt speak french. Large deposit required on check in and a full room inspection before it returned. For the cost of the room not even a cleaner on check out had to clean room strip beds etc and be out by 10:00 hard work for the end of the holiday.

Good value, quiet locationPosted Sep 7, 2007
This was our first family holiday in France - (2 adults and 12 year old son)- we enjoyed our stay. The apartment was very spacious, comfortable and well equipped (even had a dishwasher -home from home!). The only negative point is as there wasn't any bar/restuarant on site it was extremely quiet in the evenings. There is a bar at the casino and nearby Bugalow restaurant but both were fairly pricey. There is plenty to do in Sable d'olonne but it was a little far too walk. All in all good valuation accomodation in a quiet location

Get a pool viewPosted Aug 24, 2007
This is an apartment block and not a hotel, we already knew that when we booked so were not disappointed (this was our 5th visit). To appreciate the apartment, a pool view is best as the views of the rear car park dont quite hit the mark. The large 2 bed appartment (for 6) is best as some of the smaller appartments have cabin rooms for the bunks which don't have any windows. The big appartments are also guaranteed a pool view. All appartments have a balcony. Apartments, pool and garden are well maintained and its an ideal spot to explore Les Sables and the surrounding area but a good 15 minute walk to the sea front and its fantastic beach then another 15 minutes to the best cafes and restaurants. If you can take bikes this is the ideal way to get around and there are some great cycle routes through the foret d'olonne and the salines. There is limited car parking at the appartments and you can pay for underground parking to overcome this. It is also possible to pay for an end of stay clean rather than have to clean the appartment yourself before leaving.
