Excellent hotel in St Marco districtPosted Mar 7, 2014
Pros: Room was full of character and whole place was idiosyncratically furnished and decorated. Location could not have been more convenient.
Location: Short walk to St Mark's square, Galleria Accademia, Rialto area.
Beautifully furnished hotel in convenient location behind the opera house. It was very easy to reach, a short walk from the St Maria del Giglio vaporetto stop. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, they sought out a restaurant that meet our requirements for gluten free food and made the reservation for us. The buffet breakfast was excellent and there was a coffee machine available all day together with cakes and fruit. Although right in the centre of town our room was very quiet at night even though it was carnival at the time.

Quiet and calmPosted Mar 1, 2014
Pros: Quiet calm and relaxing.
Cons: My only small complaint is that the hot food at breakfast could have been hotter.
Location: Great location. Just around the corner from La Fenice theatre, 10 mins walk to San Marco, and 15 mins walk to Rialto, 10 mins to Acedemia
Had a truly memorable stay for the Carnivale. Hotel was Beautiful, clean, and quiet, and the staff could not have been more helpful and polite. A very relaxing place to return to after a hectic day amongst the crowds around San Marco. Great choice for the buffet breakfast. Excellent!

Lovely cozy hotel in the heart of VenicePosted Nov 21, 2013
My wife and I stayed at Ad Place for 3 night as part of our honeymoon, and just loved the hotel. The hotel is centrally located, just a few minutes from St. Marks. The hotel staff was incredible, and helpful with great tips and recommendations (I.e. restaurants, places to visit and the best ice cream). We got upgraded to a suite at check in, and the room was just perfect with very nice Venetian eclectic decor. The breakfast area was very cozy with a decent variety. All in all, it was a great stay at Ad Place and the staff is just amazing and friendly.

AD Place VenicePosted Oct 29, 2013
Pros: The Setembre room the rooftop terrace the lovely staff the breakfast
Cons: rooms could be a bit cooler/airier...
Location: most of Venice is within walking distance and plenty of the must see sights very close by which means the hotel is in a great location.
My partner and I arrived on a Saturday evening and were warmly welcomed by the staff at the hotel, our bag was placed in the stair lift and brought upto us rather than having to hump it up the 3 flights of stairs to our room. We stayed in the Setembre room which was lovely,it was decorated in the boutique style of the hotel, our only complaint is that it was very warm and a bit stuffy. The air conditioning did help a little but we left the velux windows open throughout our stay. The breakfast is pretty good with a hot selection, cereals, cold meats and cheeses as well as toast and rolls. The coffee available is pretty good as well and accessible whenever you want. The roof terrace which has a great view of the rooftops of Venice is very nice, especially when all the candles are lit, this is infact where I proposed to my now fiance during a thunder and lightning storm. The hotel staff were always very helpful with suggestions of where to eat and drink throughout our stay. I think if we return to Venice we will easily come back to AD Place for sentimental reasons as well as the fact the hotel is very nice and in a good location for seeing all the sights.
