I was pleasantly surprised. Was a bit nervous but it was nicer than the pictures online. It’s a no frills type of place but very centrally located, clean and staff was great. Would definitely recommend if you are on a budget.

First time I see service desk closes at 5 pm should be 24/7 very uncomfortable small 2 matters bed keeps sliding to sides toilet tank was leaking water all day and disturbing your sleep room service just fixed the sheets but didn’t replace the towels phone in the room is just for show AC wasn’t working and there was no one to ask how you couldn’t open windows then you had mosquitos coming in so it was very tiring 2 nights

Dear Mr. Khalil,In our web page said that the hotel does not have reception 24 hours. thats whay we ask to the guest the arrival time. If the water was leaking in the toilet you could come to the reception to inform it, because the reception it's open from 7.30 to 5.00 p.m. About the towels we don't replace them if you don't drow them on the floor.About the Air Conditioning we are in May, raining every day the temperature it's from 13 to 17 degrees so at the moment itìs. working the heating. if for you was hot you had a fun in the room too. For the mosquitos in the room you had an electric machine to on it if you wanted to open the window. Venice is an Island so have mosquitos is normal.For all of this thing you could come to the reception to ask about it.Best regards,

Quiet with lots of restaurants around still
Really quiet which is a plus in Venice. Still many restaurants at your doorstep without being swarmed by fellow tourists. It is a 20-minute walk from the train station - possible with small luggage. The interior could use some TLC.

Great location & great hosts
We stayed for three nights. The accommodation is clean and provided everything we needed. Before we arrived the hosts were happy to help with our questions and provided information and a map to assist our transit from airport to the room. We arrived earlier than the check in time and was going to ask to leave our bags there but we were given the room earlier than the check in time as it was ready. We were also able to leave our bags there after we checked out and before we travelled back to the airport. The hosts are helpful and friendly and cared for a good stay. The location is in a quiet area with a some places to eat along the canal and a few shops. We enjoyed the area because although away from the tourist crowds it was near enough to walk to the areas we wanted to see or to reach Grand Canal to take the water bus. There is a Coop supermarket around a 10 minute slow walk away just before the Grand Canal. Wifi was provided free of charge. The entrance is gated into a very nice outside entrance area before going up to the rooms through a door. There was a safe in the room. Just to finish in the outside area around the room, we always felt safe and happy to walk around there. A truly great choice of room for us. Thank you to the hosts.

Safe, spotlessly clean and quiet
A perfect place to stay while in Venice. Maria was very welcoming and friendly. As was her husband. The room was spacious and with a view over a canal. It was quiet and very secure. Spotlessly clean too. Lovely garden and courtyard. We have no hesitation in recommending this lovely place to anyone visiting Venice. We were allowed to store our bags there for a few hours on our last day.

I paid for 3 days of tax and was promised twice the receipt and never received. They said they had air conditioning but it was leaking and I turned it off.

We thought the room was very basic & shower was pathetic. The room was detached from the actual hotel, breakfast was below par but manager was helpful & friendly & he made a great coffee !! 20 Euro was well spent on porter who took us & luggage to newsagent to buy tickets & then to station for ferry trip to airport.

Good accommodations at a good price
Inexpensive for Venice and entirely nice. Friendly staff. Not a bad walk from Santa Lucia station or the main tourist attractions.

Simple, Clean & Comfortable
I stayed here for 3 nights on my own. I booked a double room. Upon arrival I was greeted by the unassuming proprietor who welcomed me and personally showed me to my room. I had booked a double room and was pleased to note that the air conditioning had been put on for my comfort. It was a good sized room with a simple good sized en suite. Dated but clean. I liked that you had to enter via a courtyard and then a gate before reaching the main door of the hotel. This is probably one of the most affordable places that is this close in to the Centre of Venice. It was very quiet here as it is set back in a courtyard. It really is a no frills place so don't book if you want modern or luxurious accommodation. Simple and cheap with a very humble proprietor. I would go here again.

You can tell hotel owners try to improve guests experience, but ... The room has a smell of sewage, TV does not work (not that you need it in Venice), no nets on the windows - there are huge number of mosquitoes.

Joseph is very nice and hospitable. Gave us recommendations, map and lent us a large umbrella for downpour. Let us leave baggage after checkout for late evening flight.

Ouiet out of the rush of tourist
For the price of room in this hotel, it was very disappointing. First night given room that had poor air circulation from air conditioner, room never cooled due to entrance wall in front of a/c unit on ceiling. Given different room next day with very good air conditioning but that room had a lot of flies in it. Although staff was accommodating, it does not have 24 desk, very bland room decor, and old tv. Given different location to register and get keys but luckily someone was at room location to pick them up.

Nice little hotel. Pros: Clean room, quiet area. Cons: The hotel was INCREDIBLY difficult to find. We apparently did NOT have to check-in to another adress first, when we got there, we were refered to the Hotel itself. And the adress is extremely hard to find.

Email confirmation said to check in at Hotel Leonardo. We arrived to find the hotel locked and no one in the lobby. Ended up walking to Antica Raffineria and the owner was waiting for us. This miscommunication was a bit frustrating. Hotel room itself was full of small gnat like bugs. We did enjoy being away from the loud touristy areas, but that was about the only positive aspect.

Confortable, clean and spacious room, by european standards. Loved the working class neighbourhood, close to jewish gettho, and Madonna d'El orto waterbus stop. Small shops and fair priced restaurants nearby. 20 to 25 min. walk to piazza san Marco or the Rialto. Only drawback for me: no Wi-Fi in the room, though it's available for free near the lobby. Would definately stay there again if there were free wifi in the room.

The room was clean, however extremely basic with a very uncomfortable bed. Two single beds pushed together to make a double bed. The room was full of mosquitos when we arrived and as it was late at night we got but numerous times during the night. There's some sort of a metal works shop in the courtyard so they were drilling every morning at 8am. We definitely would not return.

Nice clean room in a quite neighboorhood
Nice and quite rooms, a bit far off the centre but everything in venice is within walking distance. There was no refrigirator which would have been nice to have

The addresses provided on hotels.com doesn't exist. Took us 2.5hrs of walking around and asking the right person to find this place. It was supposed to have breakfast...it did not. Mosquitos spattered all over the walls. No internet in room. Pocket door for a room door. yeah just stay someplace else!

Disappointing stay.
The accommodation was approx. 20-minute walk from S. Lucia station. It was difficult to find as it was tucked in an alley way and the hotel sign was faded. When we got there, we were told check-in happens at another hotel (approx. 5 minutes walk). The room was decent size. However, bed was very uncomfortable with springs stabbing at my back. The double bed was composed by 2 single beds pushed together. The staff informed us the shower door was broken. But we later realize that water also leaks from the side. The drain in the bathroom was partially blocked, resulting in some minor flooding. There were brown stains on the towel. Breakfast was not included. Wifi was limited to a small area in the courtyard.

Check in is in another hotel 10 minutes walk.
It's far to walk from the train station. walking with the luggages could be a challenge. Check in is done in an hotel 10 min walk from the train station, then you need to walk another 10 min to the b&b. The Receptionist did not provide much info. Wifi only outside of the b&b, if rains you need to get wet to check emails. The mattress are horrible, very thing. I truly do not recommend this b&b.

If you are looking for a clean room with a bed, AC and a clean bathroom then this is perfect. Located close to the Jewish Ghetto, this was a perfect location for us. Very basic room but is an excellent choice for a short stay. Only thing is, the front desk at this hotel is only open in the morning so if you are arriving at any other time, you need to check in at Leonardo Hotel.

We had a great stay here. Had to check in at a different hotel, which we eventually found and could have gone straight to the accommodation anyway. Staff were very helpful and location was very close to food and shopping. Room was nice and clean. Though we didn't ask, some extra pillows in the room would be a great addition. Thanks for everything.

Great location
The staff was very nice and helpful. The location is perfect for those that don't want to be in the middle of the hundreds of tourists but still easy access to everything. Right around the corner there is a cheap supermarket, this was great, we bought things for breakfast and for pic-nics.
