50 seconds from St Marks SquarePosted Feb 28, 2014
Pros: Location and style.
Cons: ...for my needs, and what I expected...it was very nice.
Location: St Marks Square.
The hotel is located approximately 50 seconds from St Marks square... an un-assuming entrance, gives way to a very nice interior. The staff are friendly, polite... and the breakfast choice was very good. I booked a standard single, and was delighted to find a multi-level room with a separate lounge. All in all, a very nice hotel to make as your base.

Superb location and friendly staffPosted Feb 19, 2014
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: Water pressure was low, so only one sink could be used. There was an unpleasant smell in the hallway but the room smelled fine
Location: Right off of Saint Mark's square. Everything in Venice is near by.
As first time travellers to Venice, we wanted a hotel that was easy to find. Located right off of Saint Mark's square, it was only about a 5 minute walke from the San Marco stop for the Alilaguna boat and we found the hotel without any problem. We were also arriving quite late, so we wanted a hotel that was staffed to allow late check in. We arrived at 11:00 at night and had no problem checking in. The clerk was extremely friendly. The room was clean, reasonably spacious, and comfortable. The wifi was free and worked fine. We had a very early check out (5:30), but that went very smoothly as well. Breakfast was a bit basic, with crowded access to the food, but was all that we needed.

Pros: Central location
Cons: Do not advertise for bedding for three adults if you can not provide it!
We requested beds for three adults. We were given two beds and a armchair convertable. The armchair convertable was broken. The staff promised to replace the convertable with a bed, but never did so. When we reported the incident to the desk, they indicated that there was nothing to be done. The indifference and rudesness of the staff made our stay unpleasant.

Not a good experiencePosted Dec 12, 2013
Location: All activities within walking distrance. Unfortuantly, they were repairing the street under our room and it started at midnight and went until 7 a.m.
The staff was very unfriendly. We were given information about getting the water taxi that took us dragging our luggage all over Venice. If you do not speak Italian do not go there. The room was pretty bad with stairs to walk up to one twin bed and the bathroom. Breakfast not very good.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of venicePosted Nov 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
Bidet in room (no clue how to use this), as well as hot tub in the shower with high water pressure. Hotel staff was extremely nice and accommodating - which in northern Italy is RARE. Great location in the middle of venice and close to my favorite takeout restaurant (alfredos - amazing food, ranked #1 on trip advisor for good reason).

Close to St MarksPosted Nov 25, 2013
Excellent location within 100 metres of the square. Plenty of places to eat. The downside Breakfast a bit thin and the proximity to the bell tower and clock. Being on the top floor and the room facing the clock tower we had the pleasure of the bells (60 metres away) every hour on the hour.

Loved the hotelPosted Nov 22, 2013
Pros: I liked the room we had a sitting area and the bathroom was very nice. The breakfast is very good - plenty of food especially fruit.
Location: The location is handy for sites, transport and restaurants.
The hotel is comfortable and centrally located.

Pleasant stayPosted Nov 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
Great location, but we ended in a small hotel round the corner from the main hotel. Despite this, and the incredibily slow lift to the room, it was actually quite nice with wooden beams, a bit of character and even a jacuzzi. Could do a lot worse for £50.
