Great locationPosted Sep 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
It was a central location to everything, great restaurant-walking distance near by. We left our bags at the Check in Hotel in the morning - no problem, went sight seeing came back in the afternoon got our bags went to the B&B Casanova ai Tolentini wasn't hard to find with their directions. Beds comfortable, Good shower and lovely lights very clean and comfortable room. A full mirror would be nice to have in the room though.

Hotel was fine but WiFi did not work the entire time even after numerous requests to get it fixed.

Good location close to Roma SquarePosted Sep 15, 2013
Pros: It's location close to canals and centre of city.
Cons: The bed!
Location: We walked everywhere from here to San Marco and the Doge's Palace -a bit of a walk but we enjoyed to.
It's a very nice b@b but there was no breakfast. It's been recently refurbished with a very modern bathroom and decor but the mattress could do with replacing!

close to the real VenicePosted Sep 10, 2013 on Hotels.com
Our room was very near the Grand canal but far enough to get a taste of the real Venice and away from the busy tourist spots. Close to both train and bus stations. We loved the vibrant local cafes and bars, lots of character.

A good buy but READ THE FINE PRINTSPosted Sep 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
Great buy but read the fine print. The check-in is at Hotel Florida near the Venice Terminal (500yds). Then you have to hike your suitcase about 1/3 mi. to the lodging. There is no service at the lodging since these are 3 private roots rented out on what appears to be on contract to H. Florida. No breakfast so don't quite fit the term B&B. The good news is that it is well located and you get the local neighbor feel esp. if you walk in the morning. It is next door to a great ma & pop restaurant that had the greatest pizza & pasta in Italy. They close for dinner. Best food we have had in Italy.

Good size roomPosted Aug 5, 2013
Pros: Size of room and location
Cons: Staff weren't particularly helpful, air con didnt work, no reception area to ask for help.
Location: Close to the bus terminal
The room was big- especially for Venice, however having to go to another hotel to check in first was painful. The directions they gave were not clear and it took at least 20 min to get from one hotel to the B&B. Once we finally got there, the air-conditioning didn't work, and as there is no reception area in building, there was no one to fix it. If your staying for a while it's worth it, but if it's just for one night or two I'd go elsewhere.

Great room!Posted Jun 23, 2013
The B & B is affiliated with the Hotel Florida but is not at the same location. You must check in at the Florida and drop your keys off at the Florida at the end of your stay. Personally, I was much happier staying at the B & B location. We really liked the area the room was located in. It is close to all of the activities, but far enough away to be quiet. For an additional €5,00 you could have breakfast at the Hotel Florida. We did and the breakfast was great!! For being in Venice, the price of the room and breakfast was terrific. We were in Venice during a very muggy, humid, heat wave. The room had excellent air conditioning and was a welcome rest from the heat and the crowds. We will stay there again and I would recommend this hotel to others.

Great B&B in Venise for Pre-Cruise or VisitPosted Jun 7, 2013
Pros: Great location for all transportation: buses, water buses, train and people mover.
Cons: Slow Wi-Fi (but working !!)
Location: Just perfect !
The location of this B&B is perfect, only 2 minutes walk from the Piazzale Roma (Bus terminus), or 5 minutes from Train station. Checking in is done at Hotel Florida, which is less than 5 minutes walk. It's also 2 minutes walk from the People Mover (tramway to get to the Cruise port) for 2 Euros. The personnel at Hotel Florida were very helpful. They helped us getting to another location via Train on our way back from our Cruise. Without their help, we would probably still be looking at a way to get to Quarto d'Altino !! Special thank to the woman working at the front desk (sorry, I don't know your name !!). If I go back to Venise, I will go back there for sure. The room was very clean, the building, even if no on-site staff present, was very secure (2 numbered locked doors to go through, then our locked room door). Great place. Free Wi-Fi. Thank you again !!

awful service, confusing directionsPosted May 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
I usually pick B&B's for the friendly service and the home-like feels. However, this is more like a random room. Breakfast first of all is not included. There is no attendant at the B&B if you have any problems. You check in at Hotel Florida and then have to walk for about 20-30 mins (and have to lug your luggage around... go over water bridges - so you basically have to carry your luggage up and down about 50 stairs, I hope you pack lightly). And then the directions that hotel florida gives you is very confusing (and wrong- they told me the wrong number for the actual building). Once you go through all this trouble of getting there, there is no room number for your actual room. And all the while, if you have any problems there is nobody to help and if you need to talk to someone you have to walk all the way back to hotel florida (about a 30 min walk - which they lie to you and say it is only a "2 min walk"). Wifi doesn't work, and there is no way of calling to ask for help or to figure out if you can get it fixed (there is not even a phone in the room to call hotel florida if you have any problems). WORST stay. Please save yourself and stay somewhere else.

Rude servicePosted May 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
Do not stay at this place. The receptionist was incredibly rude and we had already arrived at Hotel Florida (this is the hotel you need to check in to but the actual B&B is not at the same location) when our room was not even ready - this was 2pm. We were told to come back at 3pm to collect our keys. We had lunch in a restaurant nearby and when we went back at 3pm to collect the keys, the room was still not ready. I have never been to a hotel/B&B where the room is not even ready by 2pm. You would have thought they knew that there were people coming to stay and they wait until you turn up to tidy the room for you. Also there is no wifi service at the B&B and even though we complained, they did not do anything about it. So please do not stay here - the reviews that people wrote were really misleading.
