Pension, on lido island

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Very warm and friendly host and hostess. Location is an expensive ferry ride from the main island of Venice. Beach is nearby, but not walking distance. Breakfast included. No internet, although advertised.

Comfortable Friendly Stay

Posted May 12, 2014
Pros: It was clean, practical, and well located to give us easy access to all the various parts of Venice and the surrounding islands.
Cons: Nothing, it was great value for money, and fully catered for all our needs!
Location: On the river bus and bus routes making it easy to access all of Venice and surrounding area!
We were extremely happy to have chosen II Glicine Fiorito, we spent two very pleasant nights in this comfortable, professional. accommodating and friendly B&B. We were particularly lucky because we were given loads of assistance from the moment we booked with e-mailed directions, and travel trips. Our hosts have lived in Venice most of their lives, and were a wealth of knowledge, giving us tips on where to visit and sharing their wealth of knowledge kindly with us! I cannot be more complementary about this great Husband & Wife Team! Thank you for giving us such a super base to explore Vence, with a genuine home from home experience! Ian & Heather.

Nice hotel in the calm of the Lido

Posted Nov 12, 2013
Pros: Friendly family feel, nice quiet room
Cons: Bed could have been more comfortable
Location: We went to a nice restaurant close by, but we spent the rest of our time in the centre of Venice.
B&B Il Glicine Fiorito is located on the Lido, a 20-30 minute water bus ride away from the touristic bustle of the Venice centre, followed by a 5 minute bus. The Lido is much calmer than the central islands of Venice and is a really nice place to return to after a long day of sightseeing. The hotel itself is very nice and clean. The hotel is actually a home with spare rooms. We had the attic room with a private bathroom which felt comfortably our own space. But the fact that the house is a family home gives it a very nice, warm atmosphere. Each day we went downstairs and had breakfast with the owner who spoke to us about what our plans were for the day - really friendly!
