A Great ExperiencePosted Oct 27, 2013
Pros: Service and location
Location: Great location with St Mark's square and anything in the downtown was available by walking to it.
The service was exceptional, everytime we requested something, they provided it. It is in a great location, we could get anywhere we wanted to go within a walk. The hotel has been renovated and the rooms are very comfortable and bright!

Great hotelPosted Oct 4, 2013
It is a great hotel. The staff is very helpful and nice. I got a complimentary bottle of champaign and a room with a balcony, so I could enjoy the view of the canal, gondolas and sip the champaign. The location is excellent - a couple of minutes from St. Marc square and 10 min walk to the Rialto bridge. Highly recommend.

Excellent hotel located close to San MarcoPosted Sep 20, 2013
Pros: Lived up to expectation and more. Staff always friendly and helpful,
Location: 2 minutes walk into San Marco square. Gondola stop just outside hotel. Everywhere is only 15-20 minutes walk really.
Hotel ticked all the boxes for location, cleanliness and friendliness of staff. 2 minutes walk to San Marco. Chose superior suite and very pleased with separate bathroom and shower rooms. Concierge service excellent. Very lucky with weather as had two warm blue-skied days.

Excellent Hotel in Great LocationPosted Sep 15, 2013
Pros: Location is Excellent; near St Mark's & on the Grand Canal. The hotel lobby, breakfast overlooking the canal, & staff was also great.
Cons: Internet connectivity. The in room wireless was very frustrating.
Location: Excellent Location! A dining view of the Grand Canal. Two minutes walking to St Mark's Square. Near all the high end shops. Can't beat the location
My wife & I were celebrating our 30th and we decided at the last minute (literally a few days before) to go to Venice. I had been there before (my wife had not) so I knew I wanted to stay in San Marco and close to St. Mark's Square. I also knew that to suit our expectations for accommodations, I would need to look for a 4 or 5 Star hotel. Booking at the last minute did not leave us with many choices that were not totally unreasonably priced. We saw the Bauer was available and decided to book it. Overall we were very pleased with the decision.

Sheer comfort.Posted Aug 12, 2013
Pros: Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the waterway. Air conditioning throughout, vital in this humidity.
Cons: That we were only there one night !!!
Location: Great location, close to St Mark's Square. Hotel lounge looks out onto canal. Breakfast terrace looks out onto open water.
The quality and facility of the hotel was superb. We particularly valued this level of comfort visiting Venice in August 2013, when the humidity outside was almost unbearable.
