“Good Location for Train and Airport Access - Just Ask for a Room Not on the Street”
Hotel was directly across the street from the Venice, Mestre train station and easy 8 min train trip into the heart of Venice each way - without the hassle of getting water taxis or hauling luggage down small streets into the heart of Venice. Front desk sold train tickets so no hassle buying them at the train station. Easy 20 min, 5 euro, bus ride directly from airport to train station across the street. Hotel condition was good. GREAT breakfast buffet each morning included in rate. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and nice, though all rooms have hardwood floors, so at times, one can hear chairs being moved and/or /walking from floor above. Our room faced the main street - so a little noisy with traffic - but any room on side or back of building should be quiet.
“"An excellent option to visit Venice"”
The hotel is situated in front of the train station in Mestre. An cheaper option than book a hotel directly in Venice. You have a train to Venice each 5 o 10 minutes. Besides, the hotel has an excellent a modern parking if you are in your car.
“Make sure you know the location”
this hotel IS conveniently located right off of the train but in Mestre. It is not in Venice where you want to be. This was misleading from the description. You have to take either a 15 min bus ride or a train ride to get to the area of Venice with the canals, etc. There are hundreds of great hotels in the heart of the canals, i would have much preferred to be there had i known.
“Cheaper than Venice and just as good.”
Simple, clean, good buffet, fair price. What else do you want. And, it saves you a fortune from the Venice prices. Just get on the train and go across the lagoon.
“best value all around”
for a 10-min train ride from the touristy Venice proper, you get the true 5-star quality for a fraction of the cost. Best location: across the road from Mestre train station; best service: every staff was friendly and helpful; best room: spacious, clean and quite; best breakfast buffet: for what you pay (nothing...included in room rates), you have plenty of everything.
“Convenient to Venice”
This is a fine hotel and conveniently located to the rail station into Venice. It is a much better value that the hotels in Venice and logistics to and from the airport could not be easier. Restaurant and bar are fine. Staff is helpful. Ask for a room away from the street noise. If you don't need quaint in your hotel, this is an excellent choice.
“Hotel Bologna”
good location..cozy rooms..the hotel services are poor...no 24 hour restaraunt..very inhospitable reception people...
“Nice location”
Terrific location for hopping the bus into town.
“Only okay”
The breakfast was good. Staff spoke English and were somewhat helpful. However, instead of telling us that the AC wasn't turned on they changed our room to a much smaller room right across from the elevator. When we complained about the AC still not working, they told us it wasn't turned on. Our bigger, more comfortable room was no longer available and to move us to another room would have been more money. That was irritating. Location (across from train station) was good for getting to and from Venice and surrounding cities. However, the neighborhood was questionable and it was SO noisy being so close to the train station.
“Excellent Location”
Hotel is very clean, all employees were helpful and courteous. The hotel is perfectly located for visiting Venice, it is located directly across the street from rail station. The free breakfast was excellent. Parking, however, does cost 10Euros per day. The rooms were large and well equipped, bathrooms were very nice, bidet included.
