Great Location. Cozy and great decorated rooms.Posted Nov 26, 2013
Pros: The italian ambiance. The very good management of the hotel and the location.Being able to walk thru the beautiful narrow streets wherever one wants.
Cons: Why would we want to change historical architecture?
Location: Very close to Piazza San Marco, to the "vaporettos' departue posts. Many good cafes and restaurants, any kind of shops.
A very venezian style hotel. All of it spoke of Italy. Proper and nice staff. Wonderful persian rugs. One of the entrances directed the guests to the gondolas. And so close to Piazza San Marcos...Those clean and crisp linen towels, excellent toiletries. All in all, highly recommended!

Great location, tiny roomsPosted Nov 11, 2013
Location: Loved be nearing the gondoliers "parking lot" not so much the Hard Rock Cafe although the noise wasn;t that intrusive.
I know rooms in Venice can be among the most expensive. This hotel's rate was average but for that they should either give you a larger room and breakfast included. Other than that no other issues.

Great location--somewhat run downPosted Oct 9, 2013
Pros: Location, friendly front desk staff.
Cons: WiFi, general sprucing up, very expensive breakfast, size of rooms.
Location: It's half a block from Piazza San Marco, and so sightseeing, museums, restaurants and most everything you could want is very close at hand.
The location is great and the staff was pleasant. The place looks like it's been a long time since it was spruced up--things like paint and updating. No WiFi except in the lobby, and even the lobby WiFi was difficult to use. Our first assigned room was, literally, the smallest room we've ever stayed in. We moved to a better room the next day, still small but manageable.

Great hotel next to waterway in Venice.Posted Sep 10, 2013
Pros: Location was perfect !!! The room was great, but it was a little small.
Cons: Some of the staff were helpful and friendly, but upon arrival the reception staff was not very friendly or helpful. Not a great welcome.
Location: Everything near San Marco was right around the corner. Shopping, restaurants, music. Venice at night is exquisite and we were able to experience it all
Beautiful hotel next to waterway and San Marci square. Wonderful location! Within walking distance to all great attractions near San Marco Square.

Excellent locationPosted Sep 2, 2013
Pros: Locatin Location Location!
Location: Perfect location. Close to gondola ridess, St marcs square and everything.
We were very pleased with this hotel. Although our room was small, you get what you pay for. The staff are helpful and theres a lovely bar where you can sit inside or outside which is situation on one of the many canals where many of the gondola rides start. It is also situated right next to St. Marcs square, literally a 2 second walk and is directly across from the very popular Hard Rock Cafe.

No so fantastic service!Posted Aug 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
We loved the location, but unfortunately that's all we loved. The reception staff were less than willing to help to the point of being quite unpleasant at times. The Wi Fi is only available in part of the reception foyer area and often with great difficulty. The barman stood out as he was extremely helpful, but the bar was not open the second night we were there. Sadly we were left feeling very discontent, with our stay in Venice, after spending time in many hotels over the previous few weeks this one stood out as well below par. Hospitality, is a word that needs to be explained to most of the staff we met over the three night we were there!

Great locationPosted Aug 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel is average but its location is great. We had a "canal view" corner room which had three windows, each facing a canal. The hotel is nice because you have to realize that most buildings in the San Marco district are old and therefore modern conveniences are lacking. I would stay at this hotel again if I returned to Venice. Its location was very convenient. We could easily go shopping, return to the hotel to drop off bags, then return to the streets to shop or site-see. We were always popping in & out of our hotel throughout our Venice vacation because of how close the hotel is to everything we wanted to see. It is situated right next to a large gondola port, which can be very busy during the day with lines of tourists waiting for a gondola ride. However, it was good because we were able to find a time at night for a private romantic gondola ride throughout the side canals. In the morning its fun to wake up and have coffee while watching the gondoliers prepare their gondolas. All-in-all, the best things about this hotel are its location and cleanliness. NO free continental breakfast although I believe hotels.com states the hotel has free continental breakfast.

Venice hotelPosted Aug 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
Overall the hotel was nice, great location. However if breakfast is not in your booking they charge €15 per person, needless to say we went elsewhere for breakfast! Room was clean.

The room was good size and overlooking the Venice canals and Gondolas. It's a very short walk to the Square and the Palace. We were very happy with our stay.
