“Excellent hotel”

The hotel is excellent, my wife only recomendation is to change to softer pillows.

a really lovely part of Venice - so nice to get away from the hustle and bustle. Surrounded by lovely streets, parks. room was large and very comfortable with a lounge and seating area. Staff were helpful and spoke fluent english.

“A very quiet refuge”

I had read the other reviews and I agree with what was previously written. A quick word on the staff - it is really depends on the individual you are dealing with. Some are great and others appear indifferent. An example - we showed up for breakfast at 10:20 as they were putting everything away. I asked someone what time breakfast ended. She shrugged her shoulders and said 10 am. Someone else, however, heard me and volunteered that if we wanted to sit out in the courtyard (very pleasant place btw) that she would bring us some coffee and some rolls. We sat out in the courtyard, she set a very nice table for us, brought us tea and coffee, and prepared plates of meats, cheese, and rolls. I view that as having "gone the second mile for us".

“We're so pleased we chose this hotel”

We found this hotel first rate. The rooms were very modern and clean. The breakfast was excellent and so was the service. When requested a kettle was brought to the room with tea/coffee, which was welcomed after returning from walking so much around the city. It was lovely to be just a few stops on the vaporetta from the centre of Venice, with the hotel in a quite location and views of trees, gardens and a canal from the room. “Beautiful setting, great value”

We were there for our vacation, and quite surprised how beautiful this hotel was. It was in quiet area, very kind stuff, great setting. We would definitely go back!!! Highly recommended!

“Superb. Can't be faulted.”

The Sant Elena is a fantastic hotel. Excellent rooms, service and location. Also the walk to/from the hotel to the centre of Venice along the waterfront during the evening is superb.

“Lovely and peaceful”

This hotel is a 15 minute walk from St. Mark's Square. The staff was very helpful, and the hotel itself wsa quite pleasant. After spending the day in 'tourist mode', it was nice to relax in the hotel's lovely garden. Breakfast, which is included, offered a large selection. Convenient, yet off the beaten path.

“Very nice hotel!!!”

We stayed here for 10 nights and were very impressed with the hotel and our room! The breakfast everyday was wonderful and offered a wide assortment of foods. The staff were very helpful. Had access to free internet. We loved being further away from the touristy area, but yet could hop on the water bus right near the hotel to go wherever we needed to go. Perfect fit for us!!

lovely place to stay - the hotel is within easy walking distance or a couple of stops on the vaparetto to the hustle and bustle of the centre of venice but in a peacful and sleepy area! The rooms are lovely and airy and the staff are very helpful.

“HOME AWAY FROM HOME”

Clean comfortable hotel witth all services we required. Quiet neighbourhood. Handy local cafe, fruiterer, post office & pharmacy. We even had a conveniently located ferry stop. Easy walk to city heart. Would definately stay here again.
