Soggiorno a VeneziaPosted Nov 4, 2014
Pros: Accoglienz pulizia,posizione,breakfast
Cons: Camera offerta insufficiente
Peccato

Excellent location and charming staffPosted Oct 15, 2014
Pros: We really liked the utterly charming staff, the comfortable bed and the location. There was plenty of hot water - so often lacking in older hotels.
Cons: Some anti-mosquito spray (we bought some 2nd day but too late!) or vapour burner. Needs hook for shower; quality of restaurant needs serious attention
Location: Very central - short walk to San Marco, vaporetti stops, good restaurants and shops nearby, lively area generally. Great base for just exploring.
First impressions were very good. Landing stage and entrance from the canal via motoscafi, greeted by really friendly footman - a super bloke. Reception staff also very friendly and helpful - great tip for nearby restaurant (we were to understand why two nights later). We had selected a "superior room". I know "superior" means "higher up" in Latin, but in English it has come to denote higher standards; I would only say that I would not like to have booked an "inferior" room. Whilst spotlessly clean and nicely furnished with a very comfortable bed, it was very small, and the bathroom was particularly poky. The bath was too small to lie in, and there was no hook for the shower. There was no looking glass in the room - only above the basin in the bathroom. The restaurant was a lovely big space under an awning - particularly pleasant when opened up at the sides (but beware mosquitoes in the evening). The staff were again charming, but the food was dreadful (no exaggeration) when we ate there on the Sunday evening. Breakfasts were adequate, but there was no burner to keep the hot water warm for tea making, and the coffee was of surprisingly poor quality for Italy. The downstairs public area seemed permanently full of luggage from large tour parties - so much so that little sitting area remained. All that said, this was in a fantastic location for sightseeing and getting about Venice, and perfectly adequate for a long weekend's stay (but probably best to eat elsewhere).

Great locationPosted Oct 12, 2014
Pros: Location location location !!!! Restaurant was very nice.
Location: Gondola rides almost at the door step. Rialto bridge. Was a 5 minute walk. Very easy access to the water bus to get back to train station.
Room was very small but it's Europe after all. Very close to everything so it made it very easy for getting around. The front desk was very helpful.

Goede ligging, net hotel. Jammer van het ontbijt.Posted Aug 6, 2014
Heb met plezier in het hotel gezeten. Net personeel. Vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Goede nette kamer en goed schoon. Alleen het ontbijt viel heel erg tegen. Geen verse sappen maar gewoon limonade. Roerei was ontzettend zoet. Heel weinig variatie. Weinig keus bij het ontbijt. Kwaliteit was voor een 4 sterren hotel zwaar onder de maat. Erg teleurstellend.

Staff was nice! only issue with hotel are its outdated and rooms are tiny. Outside of that great location, helpful staff and the breakfast was yummy! I would recommend if you are okay with ancient style rooms and small space to work with.

We liked the location. It is as advertised.Posted Jul 27, 2014
Pros: Location on canal and outside setting - fine dining
Cons: The standard room is very very small. If you are below 6 feet you cannot hang clothes. The water pressure is low, the drain plugs- much more
Location: Location is excellent visiting history - shopping and dining - room substandard
Close to everything within minutes. Fine dining room, great breakfast! Recommended -if you want to be central and can live in very small room. Hotel is a transit hotel, lobby stuffed with luggage morning to nite

We've stayed at this hotel a few times and the location, service and hotel are great. Nice terrace for breakfast that is included and a short wall to piazza San Marco and the Rialto bridge. Water taxi brings you straight to the hotel. Will definitely stay again during our yearly trip to Venice!
