“Venetian classic”
The moment you walk into this gorgeous authentic Venetian experience, all you see is the Venetian Glass. It is everywhere, even in your bathroom. I felt like I was staying in an authentic Venetian home. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the breakfast was the perfect start to our day of walking the city streets. The hotel is located directly in front of the public water bus station and water taxi stand. The bus terminal is a few short blocks away. We could not have been happier with the hotel and it's location and will stay there again.
“One of the Best Locations in Venice!”
Almost right next to the Venice train station! Sooo convenient! Also, hotel had a friendly English speaking staff. Also, right across from water taxis on the grand canal. A perfect base camp for your stay in Venice!
“Great Location!”
This hotel is right near the train station. Venice is a horrible place to drag luggage around and a great place to walk, so being near the train station to drop stuff off was perfect. The decor is very eclectic and pretty ostentatious with lots of Venetian glass chandeliers, marble, and cool ceilings. It is definitely old and the signs show, so don't be expecting a modern hotel, but it has a lot of character. It has a tiny elevator, but by European standards the room and the bed were both pretty large. If you are looking for convenience and old world charm, this is a great place. If you looking for modern and shiny, go somewhere else. We travel a lot and we loved it.
“Venice jewel”
The location by the water taxi and train station was great, right on the Grand Canal with lots of shopping and fine eating. The front desk staff is exceptional, especially Jorge and Patrick. We were in the older part, the bathtub was not all that good, but the room had charm. I also stayed in the remodeled area one night, great bathroom and it was all updated, but not the charm of the first room. Just a trade off. The breakfast buffet was great! We would stay there again for sure.
“Location Location Location”
We stayed in Venice for a couple of nights before embarking on a cruise. The best thing about the Boscolo Bellini was its location. It is a small efficiently run hotel. It is only a minute from the trains, water taxis, buses, and people mover that takes you to the cruise ships.
“Unhelpful Service, Room Quality Inconsistent”
I stayed here two nights, with two rooms. One was large with a good restroom. The other was small and inconvenient shower. The staff is nice but the hotel's policies are to NOT give customers change for large bills, which is in conjunctiOn with all the other shops and train station. I finally had to buy food somewhere to break the €50 that the ATM gave me. That's ridiculous, my expensive hotel should help me. Also, they do not have stamps or mail post card for you.
“Nice hotel, right next to train station”
The service at this hotel was wonderful. The staff was friendly and very accomodating. It is older, so don't expect a modern look. The room was clean, but worn. On the opposite side of the island from the Rialto and St. Mark's Square, but worth it since it is right next to the train station. Would stay there again if we go back.
“Convenient and very Close to The Train Station.”
The hotel is charming, the staff is friendly and my overall experience staying at this hotel is a very positive one.
“GREAT LOCATION, HORRIBLE HOTEL!”
We just got back from our trip, and stayed here for three nights in Venice. The location is great, right on the Grand Canal and minutes from the train. HOWEVER, our room was HORRIBLE. Very small, no working phone, AC was almost nonexistent, small bathroom with unmounted shower head, the water temp varied from scalding hot to freezing cold, and bad tv choices. When we first got there, the tv wouldn't even turn on, and it turned out we needed the remote. After they brought us the remote, the cleaning woman took it from our room when she came to clean! So bizarre! Also it was SO HOT in our room, and the beds have wool blankets with a old comforter on top...we slept with sheets only. The breakfast was also terrible...soggy eggs, no fruit, watered down orange juice, stale bread. Not good.... The only good things about this hotel are location and the staff was friendly. Other than that, a NO GO.
“good location in Venice”
The only drawback is lack of internet connectivity. Otherwise everything was OK. Full breakfast included.
