Good location but not great

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Location was the only good thing about hotel - it is about a 5 minute walk to the Rialto Bridge. Room was disappointing. Our room had large cracks in the drywall and what looked like mold in the bathroom. There were also a few large holes in the walls that were not repaired. Breakfast was not included and quite pricey. I suggest stopping at a cafe instead. A Co Op (grocery store) is located about a 1 minute walk from the hotel. This provided a nice, cheap alternative for dinner and drinks as the food is very expensive in Venice. Staff was not helpful, and occasionally curt.

Beautiful and charming hotel

Everything with this hotel was fantastic. We had a beautiful room, the hotel staff were friendly and helpful - we were even able to check-in early which was great as we were keen to get showered, cleaned and start exploring. The hotel is really tucked away on a typical quaint Venice street, whilst still being in such a central location - we were minutes from Rialta Bridge and St. Marks Square. The hotel provide an excellent map, which we received about a week before our visit explaining exactly where to find the hotel - which was really helpful! I really can't fault it at all!

Beautiful hotel, a little confusing to get to. Nothing is really near the hotel but a close 3-5 minute walk to everything

A Very nice place to stay

We had a very pleasurable stay at the hotel. we got upgraded to a superior double which was absolutely faboulous. We couldnt ask for more from a 4 star establishment. All the staff were nice and friendly . The room was kept sparkling clean . I have nothing bad to say about the place.( tip for the first time visitors: follow the map provided by the hotel.. It makes getting to the hotelreally easy).

Comfortable and conveniently situated

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: Perfect hotel for a quite and very relaxed stay in Venice with very attentive staff willing to help with the slightest request.
Cons: Although the rooms were comfortable and pleasantly decorated, there was some room for improvements to routine electrical maintenance.
Location: Only three minutes walk from the Rialto Bridge, ten minutes to Piazza San Marco and eight minutes to Fondamenta Nuove with access to Murano/Burano.
The hotel is in a convenient, quite and pleasing area of Venice. It might have been difficult to find without careful instructions from the hotel, as the main entrance is down a side street and not in Santa Marina Square. There is no need for a front door key as there is someone manning the reception 24 hours a day to allow access to the hotel.

Beautiful place in the middle of Venice

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: Great size rooms, private bathrooms, picturesque.
Cons: Nothing to be done about it, but since it is not right on the grand canal, a 10 minute walk from Vaporetto stops can be difficult anywhere in Venice.
Location: Osteria de Alberto was a great restaurant and very close.
Service was absolutely exceptional. Gentleman at the desk was very friendly and provide great recommendations for activities and restaurants. We were even given an upgrade with a great view onto San Marina square! Had a great time, would absolutely return.

Great location

Posted Jun 23, 2014
Pros: The location of the hotel was excellent for getting to all the major points of interest, you can walk everywhere from this hotel.
Cons: I would suggest that the basic breakfast be included in the cost of the room. Larger full breakfast could have a small additional charge.
Location: Close to the Rialto Bridge, local ferry transport, St Marks Square, beautiful cafe's & restaurants.
Nice hotel conveniently located in the heart of Venice. Lovely staff, very helpful.
