Buona permanenza, un po' lontano da raggiungerePosted Oct 28, 2014
Con i mezzi (dal centro in vaporetto e sull'isola con i bus) si impiega un po' troppo. In alternativa andare in taxi.

On LidoPosted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: We liked the layout, the traditional style and sitting rooms.
Cons: The back of the bathroom down had some hair stuck to it.
Location: There is a least one restaurant near by and it is close to the canal & sea. You have to take a bus and water bus to get to Venice.
The hotel is more of a traditional style. It is located next to one of the canals on Lido and looks like it has a nice patio out back. The staff were very friendly. We had to check out before breakfast and they were nice enough to give us some fruit and snacks to take with us. One thing that we did not realize is how long it takes to get over to Lido. Lido is very close to Venice, however it took us almost an hour on the Water Bus to get to Lido and then we had to take a bus (which we did know about). I'm not sure if there is a more direct route on the Water Bus as the one we took stopped at numerous stops before getting to Lido (which is why it took so long). The next morning we found one that seemed more direct to the Train Station stop and it was much quicker.

FANTASTISK HOTEL I DEN HYGGELIGE LILLE BY MALAMOCOPosted Oct 1, 2014
Hvis man vil undgå Venedigs larm og tummel, er dette et godt alternativ. Speciel personlig stemning og økonomisk.

Nice Hotel in quiet areaPosted Sep 21, 2014
Pros: Very quiet hotel and area. Friendly staff. Room was a nice size and clean. Liked the interior of the hotel too.
Cons: More in room facilities - iron/ ironing board, coffee machine would be nice. Air conditioning didn't seem that great but was just about good enough.
Location: Very quiet location nicely tucked away and close to quiet beach. Couple of little shops nearby but about an hours walk to restaurants.
Great for visiting Venice - but it will take you about an hour into the centre of venice by bus then water bus. However, I think we got a better experience being here - we had a quiet start to our mornings, took the boat into Venice, enjoyed the hustle and bustle of the city then came back to the quiet again in the evening. Also we got lots of walking along the Lido sea front and even a tan and chilled out morning on the beach.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Safe, quiet , on different island than Venice. When water taxis become comfortable, easy, makes stay relaxing

Very nice hotel on the LidoPosted Aug 29, 2014
Pros: Clean and well presented with very helpful staff
Cons: Wifi not good in the rooms
Location: Beach is just 5mins by bus otherwise a 35-40 mins bus and vaporetto ride into main Venice
A lovely hotel, well maintained and very helpful staff at this Lido/Malamocco based hotel ...which is about 15mins ish to the Lido SME vaporetto stop and then 20mins ish into Venice central. We had a family room and the staff kindly moved us from Ca'del Borgo to the sister hotel Ca'Alberti which is about 200m nearer the bus stop - we got a slightly bigger room with two double beds joined together two separate single beds private bathroom. The decor was lovely and you could see the owners had made an effort to recreate a nostalgic luxury venetian/italian look. Initially had mixed opinions about being away from central Venice but overall we think it was a good decision to be based on the Lido - for example we were 5mins away (by bus) from one of the two public beaches (at either ends of the Lido) and also benefited by taking different scenic routes back from the centre of venice on each day. The only minor issues were that the free WiFi was not very good in the room and kids found it difficult to find an english language kids tv channel ;-)

Lovely hotel, staff were very good.Posted Aug 22, 2014
We really liked the hotel, staff were very good. The pool is 10 minuite walk along the main road. And the buses are every 10 mins into town. We would have like tea & coffee in the room. And more choice and cooked breakfast. But that's our only complaint.

Good family hotel for VenicePosted Aug 6, 2014
Pros: Family room was large and comfortably slept 4 with room for more if necessary.
Cons: Replace the light bulbs. Improve the breakfast menu. Add a bath.
Location: The hotel is in a quiet village with no shops and two sub-standard cafes. Arrangement with a nearby hotel (10 minutes walk) to use a swimming pool.
The hotel was much further inland than we expected when we booked but that didn't matter too much as there was a regular bus service to the port / town centre. Hotel staff were friendly and tried to be helpful. Their command of the English language was poor by Italian standards. The hotel had no swimming pool but they had an arrangement with a nearby hotel (10 minutes walk) with an excellent pool and café. We had a large family room comprising two bedrooms and a bathroom. We were expecting to have a bath and a shower but only had a shower. A number of light bulbs around the room needed replacement. Breakfast was a simple buffet and was a bit disappointing.
