A Gem in Venice...try this guest house.Posted Aug 18, 2013
Pros: Helpful, friendly staff, close to ACTV ferry bus, lovely room
Location: Quaint area, yet steps to a transport ferry local stop
This is a pleasant experience for anyone coming to Venice. Wonderful staff right from the beginning of our booking with a friendly confirm email and excellent directions. The front desk manager also gave us excellent tips for seeing the city in the 2 days we stayed including a wonderful restaurant and walking tour ideas. When we came back with some snacks for dinner , she kindly set up some plates and wine glasses for us in the cozy atrium. We had a very early check out and the evening manager made us a coffee and let us take some pastries to go. Although not right in San Marco square, it is only a 15 minute walk to the big square which is a must to see in the evening. We found the bus ferry of the boutique guest house of San Samuel an excellent way of getting along the waters to the famous square, lido beach, all the stops. Best way to get around so this guest house became very convenient to us and less crowded which was good for us to avoid the noise and crowds. The rooms are quite beautiful. So for Venice, this really is a Gem!

A lovely luxury housePosted Aug 18, 2013
A very lovely luxury house, staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was fantastic, very central and within easy walking distance of all the main sights and attractions. Breakfast was nice but a little limited in selection. The room was stunning in decoration although the bed was a little hard. Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to other.

Boutique style wih great locationPosted Jul 24, 2013
We stayed here on a weekend trip to Venice, the hotel is gorgeous more the equivilant to a boutique hotel than a guest house and the staff are so friendly and helpful. I thought the location was perfect the hotel is in a very quiet road very close to a vaperetto stop, however it's an easy walking distance to all the sights and tourist attractions. A great stay and I would definately go back again.

Tips from local staffPosted Jul 12, 2013
The best thing about the hotel that when we were greeted we were given a brief overview of the places to go, including suggestions to restaurants, which were good. The lady we spoke to lived in Venice for 30 years and provided some good tips what to see and where you can go to avoid crowds. The room interior was in a barocco style, which I personally liked cause it made the experience more special. Also a point to note: its better suited for couples or people travelling alone.

Great front desk staffPosted Jul 8, 2013
Very friendly, informative front desk staff who gave us a lot of information about local places to see that we might have missed if we just relied on the guide books. Nice, clean rooms. Comfortable bed. Good location and easy to find from the vaporetto stop.

Perfect location, great staffPosted Oct 9, 2012
Hotel is perfectly located outside the tourist hoards but very close to all attractions. The staff make you feel like a resident (versus a tourist). Venice is famous for terrible food (at tourist locations), the hotel had great recommendations on places to dine (they only recommend three in all of Venice). The rooms themselves are lovely. This is a hidden jem and perfect base to explore..

Stop looking, just book the guest house in Venice!Posted Sep 3, 2012
Pros: Amazing staff, great location, super clean place to stay.
Cons: No views from the room.
Location: Perfect - close to 2 vaporetto stops and an easy walk to the major sites.
We stayed at Ca'Pagan for 2 nights in Venice and we had a terrific stay. The staff are absolutely wonderful and willing to do everything to make your stay perfect. The staff provided us with excellent advice and recommendations for dinner, shopping, activities, and transportation options. The breakfast is excellent with lots of choice and wonderful coffee in a nice breakfast room and courtyard. We had to catch a very early flight and since we left before breakfast they generously packed us a snack for road. The rooms are fairly spacious, modern, super clean and well equipped. The beds are comfortable and the decorating suits a Venice boutique guest house. Our room didn't have a view at all (a wall), but you don't go to Venice to sit in your room! The location is perfect - close enough to all the must-see places, but far enough away to get away from the constant tourist traffic. There are 2 vaporetto stops within a 3-4 minute walk to the guest house. The only thing to consider for the near future is that there is construction next door to the hotel and the huge crane and noise spoils the ambiance of the cozy garden where you sit for breakfast. We would absolutely stay at Ca'Pagan again if we return to Venice.

Perfect Romantic stayPosted Jul 1, 2012 on Hotels.com
Superb receptionist & staff always eager to help. On arrival the lovely lady behind the counter treated us warmly & gave us a map & highlighted everything worth doing & some superb tips on where to eat. Room was always clean & gave us that warm homely feeling, bed was a bit on the stiff side but is standard as in the majority of hotels you stay at. We are both in our late 20's & normally stay in 4-5 star hotels & this was to a high standard. Would recommend this hotel to any travelers.

Ca'Pagan - Highly recommendedPosted May 4, 2011 on Hotels.com
Excellent customer service in immaculate, stylish boutique hotel. Not far from main sights and just far enough from the overwhelming Venice tourist bustle. Several excellent restaurants nearby. This sounds like an advert but believe me it isn't.
