Boutique hotel with substance and style

Posted Apr 16, 2014
Pros: Beautifully furnished.
Location: Close the Ghetto and the fascinating history thereof.
Located on the Cannaregio Canal and right by the Tre Archi water bus stop, the Carnival Palace Hotel is close enough to the Grand Canal but far enough away from the hustle and bustle to ensure relative peace at the end of a long day sightseeing. It is beautifully appointed and furnished property with well trained bar staff who know their wines, beers and cocktails.

Great Venice Hotel

Posted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: Location, cleanliness, modern design, convenience.
Cons: Noisy aircon.
This is a great, modern, little hotel. It's very covenient to get to. Just two stops on the alilaguna arancia ferry from the airport and a two minute walk from the ferry stop. It's a short stroll to the hustle and bustle of Venice's shops, bars and restaurants but located in a relatively quiet spot. Our room was very clean, quite modern and a good size. The bathroom has an overbath shower with colour changing mood lighting. There is in room air conditioning but this was a bit noisy when left on over night. The bar is boutiquey although a little souless but good for a quick Aperol Spritz before you head out to sample one of the many restaurants nearby. Breakfast in the morning was quite busy and there was a little wait to get seated but there was a great selection of hot and cold and although the staff were very busy they remained polite and unflustered. A really good choice of hotel for a visit to Venice and I would definately recommend it.

Beautiful hotel, outside all the hustle and bustle

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: It's location, second stop from the airport by vaporetto. 20/30 minute walk to San Marco, 15 minute walk to Rialto bridge.
Cons: Not very much to be improved here, perhaps the breakfast hours could be extended a little for those with weary legs and heads.
Location: Plenty of little restaurants which crop open at different times of the day.
The hotel is a great example of how minimal fuss, boutique hotels should be done. The staff are friendly and great at giving recommendations on where to eat out. The main bar tender is second to none and enjoys providing complementary snacks for as long as you hang around. Highly recommended.

Stylish hotel

Posted Apr 8, 2014
The hotel was beautifully decorated and all the staff were very helpful. It was my boyfriends birthday and I emailed them before we arrived and we were upgraded to a beautiful terrace room with a jacuzzi bath on the balcony! We were also able to check in early and they held our bags in a secure bag store on the day we left which was very helpful. Breakfast was very very good. Only slight downside is that it is on the very edge of Venice so it's about a half an hour walk to at marks sq- but Venice isn't very big and some of the streets around the area of the hotel are beautiful so it was lovely to see more than just the centre of Venice. There is however the option of getting the water taxi from just down the street- but we found this took as long as walking. It is also in a cheaper area so you will get more for your money in restaurants.

Relaxing hotel amidst bustling Venice.

Posted Apr 5, 2014
Pros: Staff were welcoming and helpful. Room/suite with canal view was lovely, clean and spacious. Lounge/bar area was good place to sit and relax.
Clean and very comfortable, this hotel is situated within walking distance of most of the sightseeing spots. It is convenient for the water transport around the city too. Spring is a great time to visit before the summer crowds head to Venice.

Pros: The breakfast.
Location: The hotel is in a quiet location just at the head of the Grand Canal, and has three vaporetto steps very close by.
The staff at the hotel are all friendly and Gianpaolo the barman was extremely helpful in suggesting restaurants and information on Venice and the surrounding areas. The rooms themselves are very well appointed and have everthing you would need apart from an iron. This was the only downside but apparently is the same in all hotels in Venice that they do not provide irons for guests to use for health and safety reasons but you have to use their laundry and be charged for the service. The breakfast buffet was very varied and rather good. All in all we would more than likely stay again when we return to Venice.

Amazing 5 star hotel on Canal!

Posted Mar 25, 2014
This hotel was beautiful and the staff was so friendly. It is only a 10 minute walk from Piazza roma and the train station so it is an easy walk and easy to find. The hotel is new and very clean. The staff was so helpful and told us where to eat and what to see while in Venice. The breakfast was a full hot buffet and was included in our stay.
