Adventure in Venice

Posted Sep 6, 2013
Firstly my partner and myself did the unthinkable and perhaps the biggest rookie mistake whilst traveling... we arrived early! A day early to be precise. In our exuberance to book our accommodation we overlooked our arrival date and arrived at the Feel Inn a whole day early without any booking. A catastrophe to many but not to the staff of the Feel Inn. Straight away they began to phone nearby hotels to accommodate us whilst keeping us amused with fun laughter and gentle teasing ( all in good jest). We were admitted to the hotel next door and the following morning arrived at 10am for our original booking. Both Monique and Vincenzo welcomed us and escorted us to the room. On our second night at the Feel Inn, the fridge in our room stopped working but Vincenzo and Monique replaced the fridge straight away and even gave us an additional fridge to store our food in. The hotel is approx. 15 mins away from the main bus terminal in Venice, and you can easily take the bus no.5 or no. 19 into Venice. Breakfast is delivered to your room each morning which is very nice to have breakfast in bed. We stayed at the Feel Inn for a total of 5 nights, and I definitely recommend friends and family to stay here when they visit Venice. We will definitely be staying here again in 2 years when we come back to the next Venice Biennale!

Great location, very clean, well maintained.

Pros: The location and the friendliness of the staff.
Cons: We couldn't find fault with this hotel, it was excellent value for money.
Location: Easy to get to from the airport and easy to get into the centre of Venice.
We were only in Venice for 48 hours and wanted somewhere that was convenient for the airport and also for sightseeing in Venice. The Feel Inn fit the bill perfectly. We bought 48 hour ACTV transport passes from the kiosk at the airport as soon as we landed. This allowed us unlimited travel on the buses and vapporeto for 48 hours and saved us a lot of money. These cost us 34 Euros each and included the bus to and from the airport. We stepped outside the airport and caught the number 5 bus and within ten minutes we were at the hotel. It is only a two minute walk from the bus stop to the hotel. The hotel staff are very friendly and allowed us to check in early. The room was perfect, well furnished with a modern bathroom and everywhere was lovely and clean. Once we had checked into the hotel we caught the number 5 bus again and were in Piazzale Roma (the main terminus for the buses and vaporreto) 15 minutes later. I would highly recommend this hotel for the location, cleanliness, breakfast (continental served in the room) and especially the friendliness and helpfulness of the manager. Close to the hotel are a number of reasonably priced bars where you can enjoy light meals and snacks. The last bus from Venice leaves Piazzale Roma at 11.40pm so we could enjoy a full days sightseeing then have a few drinks in the local bars before going to bed. We consider ourselves very lucky to have found such an ideal place to stay and will certainly be returning in the future.

Feel good inn

Pros: Staff. clean. comfortable bedm
Cons: Room was smaller than the photo
Location: Compalto is great.. close to Venice and the airport. Great pizza next to the hotel.
Even though the room was smaller than the photo this was compensated by the level of quality in the staff. They looked after us beautifully and were always willing to help with info and to just chat.

Good hotel, good service

The hotel location was very good. We were traveling to Venice and needed to find something not expensive outside of the city. And this hotel was really good for that. Its very close to Venice, had a good service, good breakfast, the room was big enough and clean, not loud neighborhood. Very satisfied with the hotel.

Great Value

This was a great place to stay with easy access to Venice. Just a short bus ride over the bridge. The room was extremely clean and breakfast is deliver right to your room at the time you specify. Marco was very helpful when we arrived and all staff were friendly and helpful. I would recomend this place to anyone looking for a great value just outside of Venice.

4 star accommodation in a 2 star location....

A convenient stopover to Marco Polo Airport after a long stay in Italy. Great pizza to be had almost on the premise. A short bus ride in the morning to MPA. Wi-Fi charges are insane but the bed was the best I slept on during the entire stay in Italy.

It is not what it looks from outside

Posted Oct 20, 2011
If you don't want to pay the Venice prices, this hotel is a good option. It is not cheap but it is decent for what you get given the Venice hotel prices. Although it is not located in Venice, it is just 20-25 minutes by bus from the main places to see in downtown Venice. You can take the bus # 5 from and to downtown for 1.5 euro. It is in a quiet neighborhood, right in front of a small park. It is not easy to find though. If you take bus # 5 get off on the bus stop 1/3 of the Campalto comune. You walk then about 50 mts...if you see a small pizzeria..."Euro pizza"...you are close. In the area you'll find small bars, a couple tratorias and a very good supermarket. The hotel will not impress you from outside or the entrance to the building, but the rooms are very good. They have about 10 rooms and I think each one is decorated differently...with a different style...clean and in good conditions. It is just 10-15 minutes from the Venice airport. You can also take the bus # 5 (last bus stop is the airport) This is very convenient if you don't have a car or don't like taking or paying for a taxi.

Feel Inn

Posted Oct 13, 2011
Feel Inn was chosen because it was close to the airport and we had an early flight. The hotel was on the number 5 bus line from Venice to the airport. Since our flight was so early we had to take a taxi for 35 Euro. The hotel was nice.
