Perfect in every way.

Pros: beautiful Venetian style decor and great location.
Cons: if you have a long hair I would recommend taking a travel hairdryer, as the one provided was tricky to use for a long time.
Location: 1 min from water bus stop San Stae where you can get the Vaporetto anywhere in Venice or 15-20 min stroll to Piazza San Marco and other attractions.
Visited Venice with my boyfriend from 1st-3rd April and we had a standard double room in the Annex. Was beautifully decorated, spacious, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. Staff could not have been nicer, breakfast was lovely and all the food was fresh. Excellent location as was a little way out from the center so was calmer, but only 15 min walk to the main attractions and San Marco. Hotel is 1 min walk from the Vaporetto stop if you prefer to get the water bus around Venice. I hope to go back to Venice, and when I do will definitely stay here again. Could not fault it in any way.

A hidden gem

Pros: Plush rooms
Cons: The first room we were in was a bit small and dark but it was still pleasant.
Location: Good location, right next to the San Stae boat stop and easy walk to the main sights
Really like this hotel. The staff were lovely and the rooms were nice and felt plush. One small problem we had was finding the hotel, it was not straightforward but plan your transfer in advance and you should be OK. I would also advise getting one of the better quality rooms, we asked to be moved and our second room was really lovely. Don't be scared to take a room in the annex.

Best hotel in Venice

Pros: Price, luxurious feel, friendliness
Cons: I had to leave
Location: Walk fr train station - about 10 mins. To San Marco 15 mins. Plenty of eating places within 5 mins. Yet in residential area.
The two owners (?) are welcoming and helpful-as r the breakfast staff and other reception folks. The rooms are lush and decedant Venetian with gilded mirrors, ornate furniture and plush bed covers. Opulent feel to the room. On the other hand the bathrooms are modern - hot water with good pressure. We were in the annex. Breakfast was delicious: a basket of croissants and bread tools, yoghurt and fruit, cereals, juices, tasty muffins etc. enought to set u up for the day. We were there during aqua alta and Wellies/gumboots and umbrellas were avail for guests. Cannot say enough about this place - no wonder its crowded!!!

The Al Ponte Mocenigo is all that you could desire for the most pleasant stay in Venice. The hosts/owners could not be more charming & accommodating. The location is terrific - less than half a football field from the #1 vaporetto & airport water taxi stop, in a quiet neighborhood, but minutes walk from Rialto Bridge, etc. Room was large, lovely traditional furnishings including Murano chandeliers, delicious large breakfast included, great restaurants near by. We wouldn't stay anywhere else on our next visit.

Pros: Breakfast and the room
Location: Great location, right by the vaporetto station and only 15 walk from st marks square.
What a little gem! Service excellent, breakfast and coffee fantastic! Great location, please do not be put off by it being a 2 star, as thats only the facilities not the service or room etc. We stayed in Rome, Florence and Venice. Both hotels in Rome and Florence were 4 star and the room here was bigger and better with a much better bathroom and nicer breakfast.

More than I expected

The A/C in the hotel annex was the best in Venice, almost as cool as an American hotel. (Most of Venice has poor A/C.) Can get to hotel lobby from San Stae water bus stop without carrying bags up and down bridges. But no elevators in the annex.

Great little hotel, staff were very friendly and helpful. Only a short walk from the San stae vaporetto stop. Breakfast in the courtyard was lovely. Had a room within the annex to the hotel, very spacious and clean.
