Tatty Two StarPosted Jun 13, 2014
Pros: The staff were quite helpful.
Cons: Hotel décor, room comfort (bed, door screen) and facilities (tea/coffee in room please).
Location: Good location, especially with the lovely hotel with a good restaurant next door.
A bit of a tired hotel, shabby décor, old broken fly screen on balcony door so couldn't keep the mosquitos out of the room, got bitten ( a lot ). Hot drinks machine in reception was broken, no facilities in room.

Wonderful position but easy access to centrePosted Jun 5, 2014
Pros: Its position near to the Grand Canal but away from the crowds of St Mark's Square. The staff were friendly - and competent in English.
Cons: Rather more space for breakfasts - it sometimes was very crowded!
Location: Visit St Mark's via ferry gondola or water-bus of walking via Academia bridge. Walk to Campo S Margarita for inexpensive meals and market.
A quiet and restful five day stay for painting in May. Wonderful scenery eveywhere, and huge assortment of places to eat within a few minutes walk from Cici. Excellent and plentiful breakfast in the hotel each morning. Five minute walk to the Academia gallery with a magnificent collection of art.

Terrible bathroom situationPosted May 15, 2014
There is only one bathroom for the whole floor. The shower curtain was moldy and the floor quickly flooded even after turning off the faucet while lathering. The door barely locked. Our room was cold and damp and the beds were more like cots. I would not stay in this hotel again.

good location only 25 min walk from train/bus station, 15 min walk from st marks square.the hotel staff very pleasant and helpful, the hotel itself could do with a little t.l.c the rooms are a little tired and small but adequate, but when in a beautiful location its not important

Pleasant surprise!Posted Dec 24, 2013
Pros: The convenient location and the comfort of the room.
Cons: The breakfast— some fresh fruit would have been nice (and it is SO hard to find a real coffee/cappuccino in a hotel at this price these days, alas).
Location: The church of Santa Maria della Salute is just around the corner, as is the nearest vaporetto stop (Salute), only 1 bridge to cross. Very convenient!
When I arrived, I was happy to find that I had been upgraded to a room in the newly updated section of the structure; the room was very comfortable, with a double bed, large closet, TV, minibar, and a large bathroom with shower. The two windows of the room overlooked a neighboring courtyard. Although the heat took a while to warm up the room (given the placement of the vent at ceiling height), it worked wonderfully.

Beautiful Getaway in VenicePosted Sep 13, 2013 on Hotels.com
Perfect quiet place to stay right on the canal. Definitely recommend getting a room on the canal. The Breakfast was great. Enjoy walking along the quiet neighborhoods, or cross a bridge over the grand canal, just 15 min from St. Mark Square.

Great location. Felt like a dorm.Posted Aug 7, 2013
Pros: The location and the concierge
Cons: They could at least provide fans for the rooms when it is hot.
Location: It was the high tourist season in Venice. Hotel was a bit out of the way- nice to get away from the crowds. Close to a water bus stop.
The location and the lobby are very nice. Staff was nice and helpful. There are a lot of rooms. Ours felt a lot like a dorm room. It was hot and there was no A.C. or fan. The included breakfast was stale bread with butter and jam and coffee and juice out of a machine- very disappointing. No safe in the room, but the staff locked up our passports for us. There is a computer to use in the lobby for a fee.

Cute little hotel, with a great location away from the crowds. Just a dribble of water in the shower, but otherwise very nice for the price.
