Great place to stay to explore magical VenicePosted Jul 2, 2014
Spent three wonderful nights at the America. Staff were first class; polite, helpful and rooms are beautifully presented. The hotel is situated in a lovely area of Venice just a few minutes walk to all the famous landmarks yet it's in a quiet and lovely location next to the S. Via canal.

Perfect peaceful hotel in a great location!Posted Jun 14, 2014
Pros: Loved everything about this hotel, room and location. Simply perfect! Waterway entry, there is a restaurant just outside. Excellent service!
Cons: The beds were a little uncomfortable but aside from that nothing.
Location: The location was wonderful and it had a waterway entry which made it even better.Close to everything! We walked everywhere and loved it!Great location.
Wasn't sure what to expect but we were very pleased with our choice. We were greeted by a friendly person and treated really well. The room was decorated as we had expected and met all our needs. The bed was a little uncomfortable but nothing worth complaining about. Great space and the bathroom was very nice. The view from our room was spectacular!! Room 202 :) Breakfast was wonderful and the staff made sure to have everything stocked at all times. It is walking distance from the water bus stop. Gondolas just outside the doors as well as a restaurant. Everything was within walking distance but removed enough that you could feel like you are blended in with the locals. Just can't say enough about this hotel!! An absolutely wonderful hotel!! Highly recommend!

Charming hotel, a step away from the AcademiaPosted Jun 13, 2014
Pros: Its welcome; our nice room; and the hotel's location.
Location: Walking around is best in Venice. Everything is accessible on foot. It's between two major museums. There are nice local bars and cafes.
The hotel exceeded all expectations. It is small and we felt like welcome guests. The staff were uniformly friendly and ready to help. For instance, one evening, the manager recommended places to eat that he himself enjoyed and frequented. The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable and the linen impeccable. In the considerable heat, the air-con in our bedroom worked very efficiently. The hotel is next door to the Academia and the Guggenheim and gives you great access to the city. At the same time, the location is quiet - a peaceful spot after a day's site-seeing. We heartily recommend it. It was just what we wanted and at the same time, suited our 22 year old and his partner. We would be more than happy to return.

Great choicePosted Jun 8, 2014
I would stay here again. The hotel was in a less crowded area, Accademia, but still close to everything. From our room we had a great view of a small canal. The staff was helpful as to any request we had. The only negative in any respect is that the room was a bit small, but we hear that is common in Venice. Can't lose with this as a choice. The lobby, eating area and upstairs lounge area were all well appointed.

2 days in VenicePosted May 28, 2014
Pros: The location was perfect for us. Far enough away from the crowd yet centrally located to everything within walking distance.
Cons: Larger beds maybe and more pillow variety.
Location: We walked to pretty much everything within 15-30 minutes. You just have to wanter around and get lost in the streets. It so much fun.
I would definately stay at this hotel again. It was far enough away from the crazy crowds but close enough to walk to everything if needed. The room was small (but that seems to be the case with all of Italy hotel rooms) but very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was very nice and stocked with blow dryer. Staff was very helpful and pleasant in assisting with any questions we had. Breakfast was included and they had a nice simple set up. Make sure you ask for a room with balcony and canal view, it was nice to sleep with the windows open and the strong breezes that kept the room cool in the evening.

Walking distance to just about everythingPosted May 16, 2014
Very nice and comfortable small hotel close to Guggenheim Foundation and perfect for a walk along Zattere. Several Vaporetto Stations close by, short walk to one of the bridges crossing the Canal Grande. Right on one of the smaller canals with plenty of eating out options in walking distance.

2nd time there and liked it even morePosted May 1, 2014
Location: The Accademia Gallery and Peggy Guggenheim museum are v near. The hotel will arrange a free boat ride to Murano and you get a free tour of a factory.
Excellent location, well decorated, very friendly and helpful staff, clean and tidy and a very nice continental breakfast. Shame the beds are so hard! Pillows could be softer too. Everything else I would rate as superb

Great Location, Fab HotelPosted Apr 26, 2014
Pros: The view from the room was stunning overlooking the small canal and 100 mtrs frm the Grand Canal. The staff were friendly and helpful
Cons: We were on the top floor and with no lift it would have been nice at the end of a long day walking not to have to walk up stairs ( minor issue)
Location: We could see the Grand Canal from our Balcony, and within a 2 minute walk to a bridge over the canal. Choice of restaurants nearby
Had a three day break in April 14, with two teenage children, The hotel is in a fantastic position we could see the Grand Canal from our Balcony, and within a 2 minute walk to a bridge over the canal. The staff were very helpfull and friendly, the room was clean with all required facilities. We spent three days walking around Venice, had a lovely water taxi ride to Murano Glass factory which was free and organised by the Hotel ( you dont have to buy anything). Breakfast is buffet style and enough variety to suit most tastes. There is a Gondola station opposite the hotel and we had a 40 minute ride for 80 euros (standard rate)
