Great location, that's about it.

We couldn't check in until exactly 2:00, although when we got there a little early the room was ready and available. Had to drag our suitcases up the narrow staircase to a disappointing room. Wifi was available in the lobby, but because it was so small and crowded with other guests, not worth the effort. The hotel was in a great location though!

Location perfect, value too expensive

Expected more for the price of the hotel. Breakfast was dire. The shower was slightly broken.

clean, decent, quiet, and great location

Posted May 15, 2014
Pros: location, helpful staff.
Cons: internet.
Location: doge palace, archeological musum, plenty of cafes, stores, Plaza san Macos, vaporetto, water bus to the airport. bars, pizzerias, restaurants, church
I sahred a room with someone else. the room was tidy, clean. same with washroom (youhave half bathroom inside the room and full bathroom outside) The location is great, 2 blocks away from San Mak square, but youget no noise so there is assured resting. They do not provide towels. internet wi fi comes and go, but that happened in most italian hotels I stayed in.

The staff was the best part of my stay.

Posted May 1, 2014
Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: The improvement would be the lighting was not very bright in the room.
Location: The location made it easy to find the hotel. There is a little snack/gelatto shop. The food places is endless. There are hundreds of shops to chose fr
The staff was accommodating and understood English language. They made me feel more at ease traveling by myself. The room was not updated, but clean. The room I chose was a dormitory style room. I got exactly what I paid for. I felt safe and was able to get a good night's rest. I did not go to Venice to stay in a room. But when I was there I got fresh towels, hot shower, and pleasant staff to help me with the many questions I had.

Great location, old but clean bed linen and room

The hotel is in a great location, I paid 38 euros a night which was good as my friends stayed in a hotel around the corner and it was 100 and nothing noticeably different. I would have like a kettle in my room and the internet only works at the reception. I think the other thing to bear in mind is it is so near the Church that the bells can be heard and start at 4am and you will hear them, especially if you leave the window open due to the room been too warm. All in all I think I got a bargain to be honest. I also advise u to pay the 5 euro extra for breakfast as a cup of tea prices start at 5 euros and go up 13 euros, so even if you just had tea and cereal it would work out cheap.

Very old and very dirty

Posted Oct 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed for 2 nights and it was just not pleasant at all. Amazing location didn't compensate for how old, dirty and stinky this hotel is. I wish I rented further out, this hotel is just too run down to operate. Do yourself a favor and rent somewhere else!

Nightmare in Venice

Posted Sep 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
On the arrival we come across very unhelpful and ignorant person behind the counter of the hotel. Rooms are filthy , spider webs everywhere, beds falling apart, windows so dirty u couldn't see anything through it. Cigaret buds everywhere on balcony. Breakfast only served from 8, we were leaving before 7 and when we asked is it possible at least get cup of coffee before we leave ( we paid for breakfast) we were told by night porter he will be sleeping so there is no one here to put on coffe machine before 8. I could go on and on and on but in overall it was a Joke!
