Two night family stay

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: Staff - We had no idea how to find the hotel and when we rang them they told us step by step.
Cons: Breakfast was adequate but always room for improvement.
Location: Five minutes walk to St Mark's Square and ten to the Rialto Bridge. Close for the water taxi stops as well.
Two nights for four in one room (children 9 and 13), worked really well. Enough space for us and good sized bathroom. Hotel was adequate and met all our needs within our budget. Ideally located for St Marks Square and the other tourist attractions. Breakfast was sufficient and the dining room was compact - only takes 10 people at tables for 2 but we didn't expect anything else it is Venice after all and there's not a lot of spare space about. Overall highly recommend this hotel for a short stay where the hotel is just to put your head down - no view except walls and the hotel next door (I could actually see right into their bedrooms if I peaked). Hotel arranged a private water taxi to the airport - expensive but left straight from the hotel jetty so no hawking luggage around and we felt like James Bond speeding along the canals - this bit was better than any Gondola ride.

Beautiful hotel, staff was amazing but...

Pros: i would def come back here again!!
Cons: mattresses could be softer
Location: eat at La Feluca for sure its a few min walk away from the hotel
everything was great but the beds are too firm and i had a hard time at night. im used to a softer bed but i guess thats normal in europe as all the hotels we have stayed at during our 3 weeks have had very firm mattresses. the staff was great especially Tiberius, he went out of his way to help us. make sure you have dinner at la FELUCA!!

Birthday in Venice

Pros: Whilst it is a relatively small hotel, it is very nicely appointed and in very good condition. Our bedroom overlooked the canal and again, although sm
Location: It is located in San Marco right in the heart of Venice so there is so many things to do and see!
Hotel Bucher is a lovely 17-room boutique hotel within San Marco, five minutes walk from St. Marks Square. On arrival we were greeted by Anna on reception and she looked after us during our three nights in Venice. She was so friendly and helpful and made our stay at the hotel relaxing and enjoyable. We had made online bookings for dinner for the first two nights of our stay and not only did Anna ring the restaurants to re-confirm our reservations, she also recommended and booked a restaurant for us on my wife's birthday which turned out to be the most enjoyable of all.

Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone - for families, singles, couples, groups. We stayed in a family room. The decor throughout is grand and plush. It is centrally located, very close to San Marco Sq. We couldn't have asked for more!

Great location! Wonderful hotel!

Posted Jun 15, 2014
Pros: Clean, friendly, nice size room and bathroom, everything worked, the hot water, air conditioning ( most hotels something doesn't work!).
Cons: The dining room needs to be larger!
Location: Perfect location! Close to St Marks square, the Rialto bridge.
Great hotel, very helpful staff! The only fault is that the dining room is too small, otherwise I would say its one of the best hotels I had ever used!

Nice hotel with own landing stage.

Pros: Great location with own landing stage & helpful staff. Nice clean family room & good size. Highly recommended.
Location: Close to st marks square. Excellant location close to all water transport.
Loved venice, make sure you've got some good walking shoes. Very busy in the day with all the cruise ships in port. Make sure you've got plenty of euros as it's expensive.

Close to St Marks - 10 minute walk

Posted May 26, 2014
Pros: Location and the small area on the canal -the landing stage
Cons: The pillows - could be softer and fluffier
Location: Near the Theatre, restaurants, pleasant square. Easy access to St Marks Square
Pleasant Hotel in good location. As the room was on the 2nd floor, we could not se the canal. The Receptionist, Anna, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Take a speedboat taxi from the airport - expensive but well worth it!

Great hotel, close to everything.

Anna is the best. Very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We got to the hotel early, around noon and even though the check in is 3pmn our room was already waiting for us when we arrived. Anna made sure it was ready knowing our flight was coming in early. Which means she tried to find out on her own because I never told the hotel what time we would be arriving.
