it was a bit far from the waterbus/watertaxi stops and I had to walk with my luggage. it was also quite far from the train station.

Don’t waste your money
Since everything in Venice is beautiful and walkable (or reachable through Vaporetto), this hotel’s location doesn’t really outweigh the negatives. The staff tried to be friendly, but the room was tiny, the eléctrica outlets did not work, and the bathroom was far from nice (tiny and unpleasant). I have stayed modestly in hotels for a long time, but this one was exceptionally bad.

Pros: Good location, low price, easy check-in (with reception on site). Cons: It's an old place that could use a makeover. Needs new matresses and pillows (pillows are very flat) Breakfast is basically just bread and coffee. I recommend skipping that option and going to the breakfast bar just across from the hotel instead.

It is perfectly located near San Marcos Square. It's a simple but efficient hotel. The staff is always ready to help you. It's worth the price they charge!

The location of this hotel was great - close to the attractions and lot of unique vendors and eats to be had! The morning free breakfast was not quite a breakfast (a croissant, apple/orange, and beverage of choice) does not really satisfy my brunch needs lol. I was a bit thrown off by find the shower head directly in front of the toilet. When taking a shower, please be ready to be showering right infront of the toilet, no tub... The wifi is not free, I believe it was 5£ for 24 hours - not bad! Wifi is strong! If you don't plan to be spending much time in the hotel, great choice.

Great location
The hotel was excellent value for money, with an incredible location and fantastic staff. The breakfast that comes included is great and the staff were very helpful throughout. The only possible issue is that our private bathroom was not located in our room, instead it was across the hall. This wasn't really a problem for us but something people probably should be aware of. Overall a good hotel.

Great location but pick your room carefully!!
The room we were given was tiny and contained a king single sized bed (smaller than a double) for 2 people. Relatively cheap price for Venice but way too small to sell as a 2 person room! On the up side, the location was perfect. WIFI was charged at 5 Euros per day PER device. Unreasonable for 2019 in my opinion.

Great Location
Close to St Marks Square, the Rialto. Numerous eating places close by. Hotel room overlooked a canal...awakened by a motor launch starting up in the morning!! Good buffet breakfast with superb coffee.

From a service point of view they are not really in the 21st century. Although I booked my room online, I had to phone them my confirmation - which is very difficult when your phone doesn't work in Europe. It's an older hotel, but I fell they make up for everything once there by being very nice and helpful.

The bathroom was separate from our room and not near. I don t know if it was sharing So many stairs to reach our room. No cafee in the morning. I dont recommend.

Quiet bedroom, good breakfast, odd bathroom
Good location. Adequate staff--not as friendly as at another Venetian hotel we stayed at. Fine breakfast. Comfortable room. Beware Room 22 Bagno. It has no functioning ventilation. As soon as you open the door, the smell shouts, "MILDEW!" Although the bathroom has clearly been cleaned, there is mildew in the grout of the sweet floral wall tiles. The bathroom layout is a bit odd--you have to walk though the double-sided shower to get to the sink--but I understand the buildings are ancient and you have to "think outside the box" when renovating. Well, you won't linger in this bathroom, that's for sure. Wi-fi was available, but not free.

Great location, 2 mins walk to Rialto Bridge, cent
A very well-located budget hotel with friendly and helpful staff who speak English. The room was quiet, very clean, the linen and towels fresh and white with a basic but nice continental breakfast included. I think this is a very good choice for this type and quality of hotel (2 star) in this price range if you want to be in the best location. As it is a historical Venetian townhouse it doesn't have a lift so you do need to be aware that there are two flights of stairs that you need to be able to carry your luggage up. Although the WiFi isn’t free it only costs 5 euros for 24 hours of use. The 24 hours is not per day but hours of use which means you can log on and off on all the days you are there until you have used up 24 hours of internet use.

When you first arrive, be prepared to walk up three flights of stairs with your luggage. The room is very plain but clean. No view from our window. Had a private bathroom that was outside our room with a separate key. Nice breakfast in the morning. There is only paid wifi. But close to lots of great sites and shopping and food.

Good location, but noisy and small rooms
Small room with a double bed with no view at all. Expensive for what it was but I guess that's central Venice for you. Walls seemed paperthin and very noisy in the morning with other guests and cleaners banging doors. Staff overall were very nice however and didn't have an issue with management or cleanliness.

This hotel is convenient to all the cultural institutions and tourist attractions of Venice. The hotel is high above the campo or square. The reception desk itself is reached by three long flights of stairs. The guest rooms begin after the fourth long flight. It lacks the views of real activity on the canals and charges for wifi services. The rooms are clean, comfortable and the hotels is in a very good location--actually just a three minutes walk to Piazza San Marco.

Excellent choice for the price
I found the room to be in excellent condition, especially considering this is rater a 2-star hotel. Breakfast includes toast, an excellent croissant, espresso, and plenty of orange juice. Breakfast would easily cost 7-9 euro nearby. The hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating.

3 days here. Night manager very helpful. Room basic but clean and spacious enough. Disappointed by external bathroom (private but still had to leave room). Our room had no view but others did. Shame had to pay for wifi in 2016.

Hotel close to the Dome
You have to remind to yourself that is a two star hotel. Our experience was a little bit tricky as we were tired and at 11:00PM the fire alarm started (someone was smokings in his room) and it went for about 30 minutes at least). Some rooms have their own bathroom outside the room.

Great location....very Venetian
This hotel is well located...very near the Rialto bridge and a few minutes walk to St.Marks Square. Think about when Venice was thriving...a time before electricity and modern conveniences. This hotel would be where you, a traveller, would stay. Hence, There is no elevator....you are walking up 2 flights to the reception, with bags, but once there...it is lovely, bright, clean and does have modern conveniences. The rooms are not fancy but have what you need. They serve a continental breakfast and the staff are helpful. We were lucky enough to have a room with windows on 2 canals! How Venetian! Wind you way through narrow streets to the main sights! This is a great place to soak up all that is Venice from....at an affordable price. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Great centrally located hotel.
Minutes walk from Rialto Bridge. Located in a small square that is quiet at night. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Make sure to get their map which is helpful to navigate the many walkways. Rooms are very reasonably priced, clean secure. Breakfast is light but filling.

Venice has a higher price then usually for everything so expect a little less from this hotel then what you'd get with the same price elsewhere, like in Rome or Florence. The staff were nice and helpful and the area was not too far from the main square, but the room itself wasn't very comfy. The bed was too short and really bad in quality that it flips over when you sit too close to the edge. The closet smelled like mildew and the shower was right on top of my toilet. In my friend's room the shower was okay but the room was overcrowded with them two people living in it. The hotel uses door keys instead of chip cards, which you have to leave at the front desk every time when leaving the hotel. Overall I'd say pick this hotel if this is your budget. Keep in mind it is the cheapest hotel that we were able to find in the general vicinity and the two day stay wasn't all that unbearable with a little bit of patience and tolerance.

Location was perfect!
My husband, 14 and 9 year old and myself stayed one night here. I recommend if you stay one night...do NOT carry about big luggage. Put what you need in a backpack. You will be walking around, going up and down stairs a lot. There is a restaurant right below the hotel. My husband and I shared a small bottle of wine while the boys were upstairs. It was quiet and beautiful. Also...DO NOT follow your Google map on your phone to get there. Call and get directions. We walked MILES using the phone but I enjoyed it because the streets and canals are simply gorgeous. Get lost. It's ok. Relax. The room had excellent AC. We were actually cold and had to turn it off and I like it cold! The pillows and sheets were not 600 thread count 😊. But everyplace we have stayed that's been the same. The breakfast was a crossiant, small precooked toast, Juice. I enjoyed it but it was bready. You will climb a few flights of stairs but I think that is normal here. I would stay here again. It was clean.

The hotel was about 3-5 minutes walking distance to Rialto Bridge and about 10 minutes walking distance to St. Mark's Square. Lots of restaurants cafes etc., withing 1- 3 minutes of hotel. Of course, no elevators and need to climb 1-3 flights of stairs depending on which floor your room is. Our room was very spacious, clean, and overlooking the canals. We were very satisfied with the room and location. The free breakfast is very minimal. Coffee, a croissant, buns, butter, jams, coffee (no eggs, bacon, sausage, fruits, etc.). The staff is OK. Basic hotel at a good location to just come and sleep and get the day started outside! Room was very satisfactory, though.

no room moved to inferior place.
despite a long term guaranteed reservation after getting to hotel in afternoon and going up three long flights with heavy luggage i was told there was no room somehow overbooked. moved to a 1 star hotel 5 blocks away (400 meters) had to argue about the rate as it kept changing, had to come back each day to eat breakfast and pay at origional hotel. new hotel for 1 star fine clean had private shower and bath which is what i had booked at origional hotel.(bed poor towels terrible, very noisy thin walls) good wifi. location is good very nicely located the eventual rate seemed fair? hard to tell! so trust is a significant issue as i had e-mailed the hotel even the day before to assure my room and en-suite bath etc.

We had a great expectation on this trip to Venice. This hotel is in a good location, but the building is very old, the carpet and furniture old, small bedroom and the breakfast very poor; the cappuccino made fresh was the only great thing. They need renovation on the entire building, outside and inside, very fast. I would not go back if facility still the same. It was our 25th anniversary and I'm very disappointed, especially when I think about the price that wasn't the tippets place that we found. I believe Expedia should rate better these places.
