Great Location But That's About All That Is GreatPosted Oct 23, 2012 on Hotels.com
The Hotel Casanova Venezia is in a great location, less than a 2 minute walk to San Marco Square. This is the extent of the greatness, however the room was clean, but I expect that no matter what hotel i stay at. The hotel did not offer wifi at all in the rooms and the free wifi in the lobby was not even that good. The beds were soft and if you get to close to the edge it will just give way and you will fall off. If you have your window open you can easily hear all the noise (people walking and talking) from the street. Breakfast was complementary but it consisted of 2 pieces of bread and 2 croissants with tabs of butter, jam, and nuttela and your choice of one juice, coffee, or tea. I’ve stayed at a lot of European Hotels and this is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at, and I will not be staying there again.

Place to stay for being in Venice!Posted Oct 12, 2012
Location: Near San Marco & walk everywhere...
In the centre of Venice it is difficult to find a reasonably priced comfortable hotel. This one worked! Can be noisy in the evening - but it 's the centre! Close to everything...easy to walk everywhere. Staff friendly & helpful. Breakfast not great...but enough to start the day! Will stay there again!

Great Location if you do not mind confortness!Posted Oct 8, 2012
Cons: Comfort and price
Location: One of the best location, just a few steps from Piazza San Marco
Nice location but overpriced (everything in venice is expensive), think maybe staying in Lido or Mestre in a much nicer hotel and move by boat to venice could be a good idea if you are going to be more than 1 night, I stay at this hotel because we where only 1 night at venice and needed a well located hotel. You can walk just a few meters from the vaporeto station at San Marco so this is a must.

Great Hotel and Hotel ManagementPosted Oct 7, 2012
Pros: Location, Location, Location.
Location: 100 meters from San Marco Square.!!!!!
This was the Best place to stay in Venice, the location was UNBEATABLE. the man who ran the Hotel was very helpful and arranged a tour to Morano Glass Factory for us for free. He spoke English very well, and helped us in every way. The room was old but fine, what do you expect in Venice there are no new buildings. I would not stay anywhere else and hopefully we will be able to go back. Thank you so much Venice was fantastic!!

Don't Stay Here - An absolute DUMPPosted Sep 27, 2012 on Hotels.com
This hotel was the only bad hotel my wife and I stayed at from Switzerland to Ilaly. The room smelled of mildew and had dust and dirt everywhere in the room. Could not take a shower in the AM because there was no hot water, had to wait til mid/late afternoon. The locaction was excellent but this is by far a 2 ** hotel. Breakfast was served in a small room with plastic chairs and they gave us a small basket of bread and a vogurt. No buffet, no meat, no CLASS. When we checked out, I had to pay cash for room taxes and the manger did not have change for a 20. He suggested I not get my change of 3 euros, unbelieable. Shop around, you would be better off in a tent.

Good value in Venice, much better than big chainsPosted Sep 20, 2012 on Hotels.com
50 yards max from st. Mark Square, 50 meters max from Ferry bus from airport and 100 meters from Fenice Opera. Friendly, personable atmosphere. Free working wireless internet. Free breakfast with good coffee. A single room it tiny but it is Venice. I liked this A LOT Better than Best Western there.
