Charming hotel on the canal's of Venice

Posted Aug 13, 2014
Lovely old character hotel located close to everything in Venice. The staff are wonderfully helpful and nice, and are very flexible with leaving your luggage at the hotel even after checkout.

Boutique hotel, in the San Marco area

Posted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: Location and affordability
Cons: 1. adding fresh fruit to the breakfast. 2. night tables in the rooms are not fixed to the wall, possible hazard for your hands or feet
Location: both Piazza San Marco and Ponte Rialto are less than 10 min away
Pros: Good location, acceptable price, quiet area, clean rooms, free WiFi, available tourist maps Cons: not easy to reach to the hotel from water-bus no elevator, which is especially challenging if you stay on 2nd or 3rd floor continental breakfast (included) lacks fresh fruit

Great location!

Posted Aug 11, 2014
My stay here was very pleasant. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is perfect. It's a short walk to the Grand Canal and the water bus stops. Short walk to Rialto Bridge in one direction or San Marco Plaza in another. I will definitely stay here again during my next trip to Venice.

Nice hotel in an excellent central location

Posted Jul 31, 2014
Pros: The hotel was clean and centrally located between the main piazza and the Rialto bridge.
Cons: A photo of the piazza indicating the location of the lane where the hotel is.
Location: Great location
Staff were helpfull and able to book me a gondala tour at stort notice, and it was helpful that I could leave my luggage after check out while I went exploring the city. The directions to the Piazza from the Rialto bridge were good.

lovely hotel

Posted Jul 25, 2014
Pros: in the right place for sightseeing
Cons: print the map correctly
Location: all the tourist sights within walking distance
bed was very rough and the mattress needed changing and the map showing where the hotel is needs to be updated as it has the hotel in the wrong place so we ended up in a shop asking directions. the staff were very nice and really looked after us and the hotel is within walking distance of most of the major attractions. the room had a nice view of the canal if you were prepared to lean right out of the window but in saying that you could hear all of what was going on.

Great hotel in the middle of everything

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Best part about this hotel was its location. It is close to everything and really convenient. The hotel was very nice. We had a 3 person room, which was very nice and roomy. Beds were great.

Great Hotel

Posted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: Clean, Central and while the staff are very helpful, they left us alone until we requested something. Which was perfect!
Cons: I would not change anything.
Location: While there is the normal tourist attractions, it also is close to amenities like a grocery store.
We booked this for our stay over our anniversary. The staff were wonderful and helpful. They were always on hand to assist with anything we needed. We were 5 minutes from S. Marco and 5 minutes from the Realto Bridge. The room was beautiful and a very comfortable bed. Next time we go back to Venice this is definitely the hotel we will choose again.

Superb location

4 person superior room en suite. Given the price absolutely nothing to complain about. Friendly, helpful staff, aircon room and a great continental breakfast. Perfectly situated not far from Rialto and San Marco. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Great location but problems

Posted Jun 27, 2014
Great central Venice location but I think overpriced for what you get. We stayed in room with a canal view - were told was nicest room in hotel. Problem is that trash boat parks on canal at 6:00 most mornings opposite the room and makes a lot of noise. Also a canal that a lot of water taxis use to all hours of the morning. Walk up, no elevator. Staff was inconsistent - some very helpful, others non attentive. Would recommend staying more in outer neighborhoods where you get more for your money and quieter. Getting around is not a problem for most any Venice neighborhood.

A very enjoyable stay

The hotel is in an excellent location for San Marco sightseeing and Rialto Bridge area, situated in an alley off Campo Mannin, 5 mintes walk from the Vaporretta stop at Rialto. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast good. There is no lift and the stairs to the 3rd floor are quite a climb, but the friendly staff carried our luggage up.
