Good hotel for good price
I really like the hotel staff apart from one guy ( chunky fellow in glasses ), breakfast buffet was awesome, and lady who cleaned rooms did amazing job.

A handy hotel for Venice
This hotel is very close to the railway station (5 minutes walk) which makes it very handy for travelling into Venice which is only 3 stops away. The hotel itself was very good, reception staff were friendly and helpful, the room was a good size with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was very clean and a good size and the room was cleaned daily. Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choice. The coffee machine is worth a mention it had good a good choice of coffee to suit everyone and piping hot.

Very close to train station, but....
The hotel is nice from outside and our room was clean. at our arrival the receptionist informed us of a complementary upgrade to the executive room; the nice thing about the room was a huge tub/shower. The pillows were kind of flat and hard, however, when asked they brought very nice pillows. the room seems "old" the walls were of a weird color and the floor was a discolored/consumed laminated flood. also the room was facing the street and right in front the hotel (VERY small square) there is a bar with people catching and laughing loudly until 3am (it was a Friday night). No sound-proof AT ALL!. The breakfast was decent for some things and bad for other (e.g. black bananas on the table).

Great hotel on the mainland close to Venice
We spent a week here in August and loved every minute. The staff were friendly, excellent hosts and nothing was too much trouble. The room was perfectly adequate for our weeks stay and the include breakfast had plenty to cater for everybody's requirements. It was nice to be out of the main city but within 3 minutes walk of the train station which was a 20 minute journey over to the main city of Venice. A really lovely stay and a beautiful place.

Close to Venice for less the money
Old facility, nothing to do at the hotel. The only reason to stay at this hotel is if you are on a budget, and plan just to sleep there, and spend all your time outside of the hotel. I do not understand how that hotel could have gotten 4 star rating.

we stayed one night at this hotel. we must say that the staff is very helpful and welcoming. the morning person I called to confirm my reservation helped me to reserve a taxi at night becz I had a late flight. He assured to me that we will have someone waiting at airport to pick us and drive to hotel. check in was a breeze at the hotel. Daniel at reception was very welcoming and outgoing. he gave us info about train to venice and restaurants in area. train station is only 1 min from the hotel and goes staright to venice island only costs 2.5 euro. it's very convenient location and clean hotel. Breakfast had a variety of selection of fruits breads cakes cereals sliced meats and many more. we really enjoyed our stay. very happy it's worth the money we paid.

An old friend still going well
I have stayed at the Duca D'Aosta portion was built. more that times than I can remember during the past 30 years - the first time was long before the new hotel was built. It has always had a very special place in my memory because of the helpfulness of the staff. I am not that active in business anymore but my wife and I had to visit Venice and Mogliano is so conveniently close to Venice and Treviso (another super town to visit) that we recently stayed there for eight days. I am glad to say that despite the change in ownership, the hotel is still a most pleasant experience. It is close the railway station and only 20 minutes away from St Lucia - the Venice railway station - and less from Treviso. The little town of Mogliano still has very pleasant restaurants (several are right next to Duca D'Aosta. My advice is avoid being scalped in Venice -of course still visit it - but stay in Mogliano at the Duca D'Aosta - you will be agreeably surprised by your experience

Not a 4-star hotel, common areas are old and worn.
The Duca d'Aosta Hotel has a modern concrete and faux marble facade, but behind that, there is an old building. The common areas (corridors) are visibly worn and have an odour of oldness. The double room for single use I was in had only slight worn feel, but was comfortable and clean otherwise. The shower hotwater was easy to adjust, which is NOT a given in Italy! There was a common use desktop PC with printer in the lobby. The elevator didn't work when I arrived late night, but saw the repairman fix it next morning. Aircon HVDC worked but a bit noisy. The hotel is located very close, just 200 paces walk to the Moglian railway station, where a nearby 10-story house also sports a DE-SPAR supermarket in the basement. I think the Duca hotel could make a solid 3-star place, only if the corridors were rejuvenated and the rooms given new wallpaper.

The place was ok. We were travelling on a low budget trip to Venice. Train Station was very close and the deal included breakfast. I read about the smell in other reviews and can confirm this. Beds were hard, which I actually liked, however, my wife had a problem with this.

Comfort compromised by noise and heat
This hotel is very convenient to get to Venice by train, and to restaurants and shopping. The breakfast buffet was outstanding! The room not so much. The air conditioning was not working and the weather was very warm. Despite asking them to repair it, nothing was done. We could not leave the windows open, due to lots of loud noise in the square below...two bars with outside seating open late. Though we reserved a room for three adults, it was barely passable. No room for our things, or luggage. To be fair, since the room was very budget friendly, guess we shouldn't be too surprised.

Very nice hotel, clean, and with good location close to the train that takes you to the heart of Venice. Good breakfast as well. I would definitely come back to this hotel.

The hotel is rated at 4 stars, that may have been for one side, because the side we stayed in would barely rate. The air conditioning did not work at all and theroom was hot and stuffy, could not open the windows due to the mosquitoes and the music downdstairs. The wifi was not working at all in our room. The room had peeling wallpaper. It was close to all in the town including the train station.

Great location with need for some upgrades.
Room was clean but AC did not function for most of our stay. Nights were very uncomfortable. We could not leave our window open, because there are two bars in the same Piazza which were very noisy at night. The breakfast buffet was very nice, with many choices. The front desk personnel were very helpful with directions and suggestions. The hotel is not very close to Venice, but the train station is a short walk, and two stops to get to Venice. This was convenient and cheap. The hotel parking was free, so we left the car, and took the train. There are lots of cafes and ristorantes nearby to get a bite. Also shops for picking up this or that you forgot. This was really a decent place for the price.

There are no direct trains to this place. You will have to get off at Venezi Mestre and then take a taxi or a local train to Mogliano Veneto. Taxi will cost you about 25-30 Euros but the trains are much cheaper and quite fast. You can take a train directly from the station (5 minutes from the Hotel) to Venice.

This is a good value hotel. The hotel is in a quiet small town. It is in good condition and comfortable. The breakfast is very good. It is close to the train station. The train to Venice island takes about 20 minutes. To go to Venice airport or Florence/Rome, you need to go to Mestre first then take bus or train there.

Trip to Venice
This was a very nice hotel, the room was ok we had 4 people and there was 1 dbl bed and 2 twin beds. The bathroom was very big and the wifi was very fast in the room. The hotel is right around the corner from the train station that takes you to Venice. Morning hours the train runs every 2 hours so we had to wait awhile, plan ahead. They had a good breakfast and the AC worked very well. The parking was in a garage under the hotel and secure. Overall a good stay, the lady at the front desk was very helpful when we first got there on how to get to Venice. Would stay here again.

In general, the hotel is comfortable and very clean. However, receptionists don't know how to deal with clients, mainly, tourists. They are arrogant, rude, impatient and they don't like to give any touristic information.

It was just a stone's throw from the train station for Venice and only a 15 minute journey. Friday nights are somewhat noisy with local end-of-week festivities at the two adjacent batrs/restaurants. Otherwise, it is a lovely hotel with very pleasant staff and a great Italian breakfast.

Convenient for a visit to Venice
The Hotel was very easy to find, and garage parking was provided. The staff was friendly and spoke English. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom included a bathtub with shower apparatus. The buffet breakfast included cereals, bread, pastries, eggs, sliced meat, fruit juices, coffee, tea, milk. The Hotel is located about 5 minutes from the train station, and Venice is about 20 minutes away via rail. Restaurants are within easy walking distance from the Hotel.

Really close to Rail stations
The hotel is clean and well kept and the free breakfast was great. The only setback is that you have to carry your luggage to your room which seems to be a common practice with all Italian hotels.

Great stay!
We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in November. We were thinking of booking the executive room, but decided to go for classic. Great choice! We got big room, very warm, clean, with huge bathroom, comfortable bed. The window looked at the front hotel door, still there was no noise since the hotel is not right at the street. The staff is very very polite, including the girls from the maintenance. Breakfast was very good with great espresso coffee, fresh fruits and juice, various types of bagels, sweets, but without scrambled eggs or something warm to eat. The garage is great, free of charge, and so is wi-fi which we had with excellent signal. The hotel wasnt full, but I noticed that many Italian businessmen were staying here. The train station is literally 2 min away and it is a great choice for visiting Venice. I highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel was very clean, the service was good and the free breakfast buffed was exceptional. However... the hotel was set back in the street and directly in front and on the side of the hotel were restaurant/bars with outdoor seating that are very popular and are packed with people and play loud music till all hours. Like to fall asleep to the sound of reverb? Then this is your hotel.

The hotel was great.. VERY clean... large rooms... excellent complimentary breakfast buffet. and a one walk block to the train to Venice. HOWEVER... just outside the hotel (in the front courtyard.. not across the street) are 2 local "bars" with very loud music and outdoor seating. so... sleeping is out of the question unless you like reverb! I moved to a room in the back... no luck... sound travels there too.

The hotel was fine, just seemed to be in need of touch up as far as carpeting in the hallways, a bit of mold in the shower. We are very particular, so this is for others like ourselves.
