Pros: Breakfast, staff, location
Location: Gondola ride, St Marco Basilica, Murano Island just to name a few.
From train station, you have to take a water bus to hotel. Ticket for water bus is about 7 euro (Sometimes they check your ticket sometimes they don't). It's about 10 minutes and it's a beautiful ride. Then walk to hotel is about another 10 min. Staff was great. They are very knowledgeable about what to see and where to go. Hotel is within walking distance of the city center and St Mark's Church/Square. NIce, full breakfast selection. Hotel has Venetian flare which we loved, very clean and well kept. They will also hold your luggage after you check out if you want to continue to sight see.

Location and staff

Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff
Cons: Nothing
Location: Near to F Nove for islands. Walk to Rialto etc not very far. Very easy to get to from Piazzle Roma (and airport)
Excellent location as only 10 mins walk to F.Nove for Murano and Burano. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Will go again for 3rd time next year. Very good buffet breakfast. Local area is very interesting.

The Giorgione is not on a canal but that is to its benefit as it is so quiet. It has a charming Venetian feel about it. In Prestige Rooms which have the sleeping area on a mezzanine, ask for the radiator in this area to be turned off in advance or you will bake!

Charming hotel

Posted Feb 11, 2015
Pros: The exceptional friendliness and personal attention of all the staff makes the hotel unique.
Cons: The bathroom plumbing could be updated.
Location: The location is perfect: away from the main tourist areas but only 15 minutes walk to the Rialto and San Marco. Lots of authentic restaurants nearby.
This is one of the most charming hotels we have stayed in. We had a lovely room furnished in traditional Venetian style but with all the necessary comforts. The family run hotel has a lovely atmosphere and makes you feel like you are staying among friends. What makes the hotel unique is the personalised service and attentiveness from all the staff who are the most friendly we have ever met. The breakfast buffets (included in the room rate) are very generous and offer a wide choice. We loved the hotel and will stay there again on our next visit to Venice.

Short Break

Very good hotel and service. Was affected badly at entrance in times of flooding - the hotel sold wellies. Lack of hot water to room afternoons / evenings.

Lovely location, easy to find. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Beautiful view from the first floor. Aqua alta is a consideration, but the hotel is close to higher ground.

A wonderful hotel in an excellent location.

Posted Jan 6, 2015
Pros: The staff were friendly, helpful, and professional. The breakfasts were fantastic: good variety, excellent quality, and all dishes were replenished.
Cons: The pillows in our room were very uncomfortable: very hard and high.
Location: Hotel Giorgione is in a fantastic location: it is about ten minutes walk to St. Marks square, four minutes walk to the nearest water taxi stop.
This is probably the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at, anywhere. Everyone at the hotel was very helpful and friendly. Our room was lovely and cosy with beautiful fabrics and furnishings. The shower was always hot. The lack of a shower curtain meant that every shower left the bathroom flooded. Our room was rather noisy at night as it was above the street, but that was our only discomfort for our entire stay. The breakfasts were great and the breakfast staff extremely efficient at replenishing dishes so that all foods were constantly available.

Well-equipped, charming hotel

Posted Jan 1, 2015
Pros: The location, its staff and the overall feel of the interior.
Cons: My only gripe is that the room was, at times, a little too hot for my taste. But I was able to open the window for some fresh air.
Location: The hotel itself is surrounded by a handful of excellent restaurants and shops.
I was fortunate enough to spend three nights in the Hotel Giorgione, Venice just after Christmas 2014. Situated in the picturesque back streets of Venice, a mere five minute's walk from our boat stop (from the Airport) this is a wonderful, charming place to stay. With its impressive lounge, the hotel is furnished with a genuinely attractive "shabby chic" aesthetic that definitely speaks of aged class instead of faded grandeur. The room was large enough, with all the facilities you'd expect. Breakfast offered a very wide selection, as did the bar. Staff were extremely friendly and always happy to help.

Very nice hotel in Venice. Glad we stayed here!

Posted Dec 27, 2014
Pros: Old Italian and Venetian charm. The staff were very nice and willing to let us try our Italian language skills. We had a very enjoyable stay.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: It's and easy walk from the train station. All Venice attractions are easily accessed from hotel either by walking or taking the vaporetto.
We were unsure of staying in Venice but went ahead and booked the Giorgione. We loved the place and would definitely come back. Later, we even used the term "Giorgione" to describe the best possible hotel experience compared to other hotels we stayed at during this trip. I forgot to mention about the breakfast but it was quite fantastic, both in quality and variety. Thank you Giorgione!!
