Great location; convenient to the major sites.

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: Location.
Cons: Staff spoke minimal English; seemed bored with their jobs; did not seek to be helpful. In room refrigerator should be empty. Improve breakfast.
Location: Good location only the equivalent of 2-3 blocks from San Marco and the Rialto; convenient to vaporetto stops.
Good location for tourists. Rooms were small (cramped) by American standards; not much room for luggage, clothing storage or to move around. Furniture and carpets throughout the hotel seemed old and "tired". Breakfast provided was adequate, but uninteresting (essentially the same items each morning) and often crowded. Our room on the side of the building was quiet; no street noise. Many TV channels, but only one in English (BBC); however, you don't go to Venice to watch TV. Air conditioning worked relatively well, but cannot be left "on" when room is unoccupied so you always return to a warm (hot) room. Plenty of good restaurants in the area. In room refrigerator was nearly full of bottled water, soft drinks, liquor, and beer for which the hotel wanted inflated prices; little room for guests to store any items they wished to buy and refrigerate. Most staff spoke little or no English, were minimally friendly and seemed disinterested in their jobs or being helpful to guests. Front desk was staffed at all times (keys are to be left at front desk whenever you go out). In room safe placed in a difficult to access location. Located in a "typical" area of Venice; which is a very safe city (little crime). I think the ownership of this hotel is not inclined to keep it as nice or inviting as it might be simply because Venice is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world and they will have a high occupancy rate whether the facility or staff are particularly welcoming.

Pros: location
Location: centre of Venice, so everything is within easy walking distance
good location for a lot of pleasant walking and general experiences of Venice. The cost of hiring a Gondola was expensive.

Great location

The hotel was in a great location between San Marco Square and the Rialto Bridge. The staff are excellent & friendly. The breakfast was very good & had a wide variety of baked goods, cheeses, sliced meats, yogurt, granola, fruit, coffees and teas. We would stay there again & would recommend this hotel to others. Easy access to the vaporetto. The room was a good size but the shower was too narrow.

Quaint old Hotel

Posted Jul 15, 2015
Pros: Location was great, staff was great, price was good.
Cons: bedding overall could be improved . mattress was awful, as were pillows. Toilets took 10 flushes before they would clean out. weird indeed.
Great location, good service, nice breakfast. Mattress was old, worn and awful. Carpets in common area are more than worn out.

nettes Hotel mittendrin

Posted Jul 15, 2015

Pleasant older style hotel

Posted Jul 14, 2015
Easy to get to- water bus from airport and one street from the grand Canal. Older hotel but beautiful murano glass light fittings and mirrors throughout hotel. Lovely buffet style breakfast. Asked for a dinner recommendation but the gentleman refused to oblige as they were not affiliated with any of the restaurants?! Very close to St Marks Square and Basilica.

Perfect location & good value for money.

Posted Jul 12, 2015
Cons: The only improvement that we felt the Hotel could improve on if possible is the size of the breakfast room.
The Hotel Gorizia was so well positioned, only minutes walk from St. Marks Square & the boat transport. The hotel was so quiet at night eventhough our room was above a busy street. The hotel staff were so helpful & nothing was to much trouble.

Hotel im Zentrum Venedigs

Posted Jul 8, 2015
