Bad reception to ItalyPosted Nov 17, 2013
Pros: Not much.
Cons: Their attitude towards tourists.
Location: It was close to the train station, but not easy to get our luggage to the hotel. Several restaurants were near by. We had a good meal at Bar Piccolo
The staff was not overly friendly or welcoming. We had to pay 1 euro a piece to store our luggage until they would let us check in. The bed was hard as a rock. The only bright spot was the lady in charge of the breakfast. She was very helpful. We definitely would not stay there again.

Mestre hotel - not expensive, but uncomfortablePosted Oct 28, 2013
Pros: The hotel is conveniently located close to railway station, airport shuttle, and public bus to Venice.
Cons: Mattresses are hard and you can feel the springs - we had bad sleeps, sorry.
Location: Nothing special around hotel itself, but when you go to the railway station, you can find some shopping and nice restaurants. We came to see Venice...
We did not like the mattresses, so our sleep was not good. However, we came to see Venice and the hotel fulfill our needs.

Great Location!Posted Oct 8, 2013
Pros: The location near train station is great! There's a great restaurant - Pizzeria Capri - an easy walk away. They had a varied menu and good atmoshere!
Cons: A/C that works. The bathrooms are dollhouse sized. If you weigh more than 150 lbs it would be difficult to take a shower.
Location: Hop on the train to Venice! But beware no one is very helpful at the train staion if you have questions about which train to take back to your hotel.
The hotel staff seemed to be more focused on their large tour groups than on an individual couple traveling in Venice. They weren't every attentive to us, the the few times we tried to ask questions, but they did watch our bags while we were sightseeing. The airconditioning stopped working at night so we had to open our window. Luckily it wasn't a busy/loud street. We ended up with a mosquito or two in our room due to the open window. Breakfast buffet was fine. Great location near train station!

Review of a one night stayPosted Sep 26, 2013
The hotel is located outside a bus stop which takes you into venice, the bus comes every 15 minutes and takes around 15 to get into venice. We arrived before check-in time and we had to pay in order to leave our suitcases which i thought was ridiculous considering we were booked in for a room. The staff were not friendly at all and were not helpful in terms of providing you with guidance and a map of the local area. The room was of a good standard although the hairdryer was rubbish, would work for 1 minute and then stop for 5 and so on....wifi only works in the lobby and the breakfast was very basic for a 3star hotel.

Good location but everything is pricy...Posted Aug 17, 2013
Hi there, This hotel is in a very good location, very close to train station(just 5 min walk). The worst thing that I experienced at this hotel is the price policy. They charge everything like coffe, internet...etc

The Air Condiriones is a joke. Took 5 hours to cool the room from 28 C to 24C. The bathroom is too small

Near Mestre stationPosted Jul 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
Reasonable location for getting to Venice proper - its not far from the south exit of Mestre rail station (exit via the underground tunnel). The No 2 bus from the station takes you Venice. The hotel is fairly reasonable, only two negatives (a) the staff could cheer up a bit (b) the breakfast buffet is pretty measly (but still better than the meagre offerings which seem to be laid on for coach parties!). But as a cheapish place close to Venice it's more than adequate.
