From the day we arrived we felt really comfortable! Marco is such a charming man and gave us a very warm welcome showed us the room and gave us a map and told us what will be worth to see. The room was clean and had a nice dior plus a nice yellow bathroom with window. Room had air conditioning which was needed as june was so hot! Also Paula was such a lovely nice lady and looked very well after us. Def will recommanded this guesthouse to family and friends

Do not be fooled by the picturesPosted May 25, 2013
Location: poor, old and next to a park where people sell drugs
We reserved for 4 people but they expected 3 people. They gave us 2 double beds; one was a sofa bed which was very uncomfortable and old. The rooms are small and stuffy. The representation of the hotel that is being shown in the pictures give us the impression that the building is modern, however that is not the case.

Clean and comfortable, good locationPosted Oct 8, 2012 on Hotels.com
We stayed at Roberta for two nights in September. The best feature of the hotel is its location: a 2-min walk from the Mestre station. To visit Venice, you can take number 2 from outside the station. The bus takes about 20-30 min depending on traffic and can be crowded. Bus number 15 to the airport from the side opp the station. Buy the ticket at the bars/cafes near the bus stop. There's a very nice restaurant next door to Roberta, a couple of cafes, and a supermarket about a minute's walk on via piale. I hesitated before booking after reading reviews from guests feeling uncomfortable with the park on via piale, at night. I cannot comment on what it looks at night but one can walk on the side away from the park. The room itself was clean (had a slight musty smell when we entered for the first time but it wasn't bad and we got over it quickly). There is no elevator and no staff help to move your luggage - which might be a problem if your room is on the 2nd floor and you have heavy luggage. Mattress was comfortable and the linen clean. Refridgerator and safe (though it didn't work). The bathroom is large and clean: complimentary soaps, shampoos, hairdryer. Staff spoke limited English but it was enough for basic communication. Overall a good experience.

A surprisingly great hotelPosted Jul 31, 2012 on Hotels.com
We were more for the location -- meaning it was near the train station (walking distance) and it had a great restaurant next to eat (try the seafood risotto or pasta). Since we were there mainly to sleep as we are generally out the whole day, it was a surprisingly great hotel compared to all other 3 star hotels we stayed. wifi was so-so but like i said, we were just to sleep as we didnt plan to stay there 24/7. the owner (we think he was the owner) and staff were also pretty friendly. oh but there is no lift to the other floors. the owner even let us extend or check out late. we left our luggage (2 big ones) at his office and practically came back an hour before midnight to claim them, then we stayed on a while as we still had time to kill before our train departs, they allowed us to use the computer and go online and the use of the common comfort rooms.
