Hôtel à Venise

Posted Dec 21, 2014

Romantic historic stay

Posted Dec 5, 2014
Pros: Lots of character, old, and historic
Location: Venice is pretty small so its near to most things including many restaurants, shops, cafe's, and Gondola docks.
If you are looking for something a bit more authentic this is the spot. Most of the hotels are very touristy & located in the same area. This place is a bit off the beaten path, but still conveniently located to it all. Was about a 10-15 min walk from the train station (GPS works great for this). Located near shops, cafes, restaurants, and an outdoor market. Easy to take a boat taxi or gondola strait to or from the hotel to anywhere you want to go (including the airport.) The rooms might be a little small to some but considering its Europe, and a very old building, this is to be expected. Personally I found them reasonable sized & more spacious then other places I've stayed in Europe. The furniture was mainly ornate antiques adding a lovely charm to the hotel, and we had a small outdoor patio where we could enjoy the evening air without all the noise of the tourists, & listen to the water. Reasonable nightly rates. The breakfast provided was large and included everything from breads and cereal, to eggs, bacon, sausages, cheeses, a large variety of fresh fruit, and pastries and you can dine out on a patio. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only drawback was there was no elevator because it is such an old building. The staff carried our luggage up the stairs so it was no trouble to us however if someone is elderly or handicapped this wouldn't work for them.

Oh dear! What a surprise!

I had a lovely stay at this hotel, the staff was so helpful. Sad that I could not get my lovely bellboy again because I wanted to tip him. It's right next to the canal which makes staying at this hotel ten times better! I highly recommend this high end hotel for budget travelers, you get more for your money here, I'm staying there again. :)

Ideales Hotel für Städtetour

Posted Dec 1, 2014
Pros: Die Lage !
Location: Zentrale Lage , Altstadt ! Alles !
