La Caravella - Established in 1963. Wood-paneled interior recreating Renaissance-era Venetian ship's dining room, including massive safe from ship named La Caravella. Candles, fresh flowers. Lunch/dinner menu includes traditional Venetian fare, with emphasis on seafood. Flower-filled-courtyard seating in summer.
La Caravella Bar - Marble floor, leather seats, dark-wood paneling. Old wine-bottle display. Open during lunch/dinner hours.
Recreation
The Lido of Venice, the slender, 11.5-km-long (7.25-mile-long) island facing the Adriatic Sea that lies a 15-minute waterbus ride east of central Venice, is the city's playground, especially in summer when beaches and watersports draw visitors and Venetians alike. Year-round, visitors rent bicycles to explore the island, play golf, or take horseback rides. Aside from fishing in the canals, the central city offers nothing in the way of recreational opportunities. Deep-sea fishing is available in the Adriatic Sea.
The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or near the hotel; fees may apply.

“Venice Gem”
Great hotel and staff. Convenient location.
“Well worth every penny!!”
Location is close of Saint Mark's Square, breakfast is great with lots of choices. The staff is professionall and helpful and the room is very clean. Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends. Five stars
“it is relatively ok for Venice”
It is not the best but a good hotel with excellent location in the heart of Venice.
“Great location!”
My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Saturnia September 2010 for our 10th anniversary. It's a fairly easy walk from the vaporetto stop and well located in the midst of the upscale shopping area and Venice sightseeing locations. The staff was helpful when asked but not overly so. Be aware that when you stay out after midnight as we did one night, the hotel locks the doors and you have to ring to get in. Luckily for us, a housecleaning person was in the front lobby when we did so and we were let in immediately. Our room was clean but a bit spare in the decor and as I think most Venice hotels are, a bit musty smelling from the age of the buildings and being surrounded by water and having flooded in the past. The hotel's restaurant is very accomodating and allowed us to purchase wine from their bar area to take to our room after having opened it for us. The food at the complimentary breakfast was very good, especially the fresh fruit but the coffee unfortunately was dismal. Overall, I would definitely recommend a stay here when visiting Venice.
“Hotel Saturnia”
Lovely hotel with great atmosphere.
“Absolutely loved it!”
Our stay at the Hotel Saturnia International was wonderful and we had a great time. All staff were friengly and helpful and clearly wanted to make our stay an enjoyable one. The location of this hotel is the best; it is close to all the major tourist attractions but at the same time, it is located on a quiet , cozy streets. The buffet breakfast offered many choices and staff were happy to meet your requests. We would definitely return to this hotel!
“To be highly recommended.”
Our trip to Venice was enhanced by choosing to stay at the Saturnia. We don't have any word of criticism to offer. Staff were helpful and charming, the situation could not be more convenient, the courtyard hotel restaurant (la Caravella) was enchanting to say the least, and the included breakfast, served indoors, was a full breakfast offering a vast array of food for guests from various countries. All in all, I would recommend it to all my friends, and when we return to Venice, we'll return to the Saturnia & International, without any doubt.
“Great Choice in Venice”
Top notch all around...knowledgeable front desk staff...great breakfast and would stay again on a subsequent trip.
“Loved this hotel”
Excellent location, loved this hotel and the staff. They made us feel very comfortable. the rooms were clean and very authentic. the restaurant and bar on premises were excellent, one of the best dinners we had in Italy. Would highly recommend this hotel. On our next trip to Italy we will definitely come back to this hotel.
“My worst choice among all hotels booked in Europe!”
The hotel was extremely old. All the furnitures in the room are very old esp the bed.I booked a bedroom for three persons.however they just casually add a bed on the Side but the mattress was basically broken. We talked to the reception and they did nit like we complain! Their attitudes to us became different from others. The shower was broken and the hair dryer was like 20 years old with no wind coming out from it at all! Breakfast was so so only the waiters were not attentive and u Ned to keep waving to them to get their attention. I am very disappointed. Definitely not worth the price u paid!!!!
