We stayed here while we visited Venice. Sandra, the host is amazing! She seriously took us to and fro the train station that we rode into Venice each morning. We stayed for 3 nights. The room was decorated beautifully and the place was exceptionally clean. The breakfast and coffee was wonderful! We would definitely return here. Comfortable bed and peaceful country atmosphere as well.

Spent four nights here and was exceptionally pleased with the standard of the room, the breakfast and most importantly the location. Literally 1 minute walk to San Marco and also very close to the Rialto Bridge.

This hostel is fantastic. It's pretty cheap compared to most of Venice, in a prime location and the view from breakfast on the roof is incredible.
It is in an old hospital so unlike most of Venice, once you're inside there is so much room.

"Lovely hotel villa, close to mainland supermarkets"
The Hotel La Rescossa was beautiful, and although located on the mainland had great transport to the city. As it isn't a Venice code there was no tax to pay- which is always a plus. Finding the Hotel with a taxi driver was a bit of a problem but once there the staff provided us with maps and times to both the city and the airport. Would definitely stay again as the area was lovely, although mind the roads as there are no pavements!

"Perfect Location - Perfect for some, not for others"
First, this is not your typical hotel. In fact it's not a hotel at all. If you are feeling a bit more adventurous and want a different sort of Venice experience I highly recommend this B&B. You'll basically be staying in your own apartment complete with well stocked kitchen. If you're after a typical hotel with service desk etc. it's not for you. My wife and I loved it. First the location is right in the center of a very popular area of Venice so everything you need is within walking distance. The place is a bit hard to find, but upon arrival the owner of the B&B gave me his cell phone number and clear instructions. The apartment is located on a small quiet street and is several floors up with no lift so you'll need to navigate multiple flights of stairs. Giorgio is an amazing host. He made my wife and I very comfortable in Venice including restaurant recommendations and was available whenever we had questions. He is what made the visit perfect. The room was clean and refreshed daily. If you're used to staying in a very nice hotel it might feel a bit too "real" for you. If you have issues with stairs this would not be the place for you. If you are wanting a great place to stay that is comfortable, convenient and you want to feel like you are living like a local would, this is a great place and we would highly recommend it.
