Italian Vacation

Great hotel in a quiet area with superb staff! Close enough to the activity but not so close you feel like your being overrun by tourist!

Overpriced

Posted Jun 18, 2015
Stay at another hotel, or even a b&b or airbnb. If worried about kosher, or breakfast, note that there are so many places to eat out in the ghetto. Including the bakery where the kosher house buys their cheeses from. The bread from breakfast was stale and not very many other options were offered. Also, they don't have a Shabbat pkg so if they're booked on Saturday you will need to find other accommodations. In addition, the rooms aren't anything special- especially compared to the price.

Great for kosher travelers

Very convenient walk from the main train station. Also, a stop on the ferry right nearby. Place is a great convenience for kosher travelers- no judgements on religious level from the staff at all.

Perfect place for the Kosher Traveller

Posted Jun 2, 2015
We had the pleasure of staying at Giardino dei Melograni for 3 nights last week. The hotel is in a quiet section of Venice with easy access via vaparetto or foot to all the major sites, offers excellent service and clean, comfortable rooms. For kosher travellers, like us, it is situated perfectly in the heart of the Jewish Ghetto- adjacent to kosher restaurants, shopping and Jewish houses of worship. In addition, the newly opened hotel restaurant was a real treat- the food, service and setting were all excellent.

This was a very pleasant stay. The hotel is inside the Ghetto which make it very close to synagogues and kosher restaurant. It is close to Piazzale Roma as well which make its access from the airport easy

the Ghetto is out of the main centre so one feels less "claustrophobic", more venetian and part of the Jewish experience; wonderful position. still leaves a 30 -40 minute walk to san marco square. the breakfasts need improvement and variety, the rooms were warm and comfortable with wonderful canal view, communal lounge on second floor was very useful, close to all synagogues for the sabbath and kosher cuisine. highly recommended.bathrooms need extractor fan.
