Dear Sir, thank you very much for your kind feedback. Actually we are NOT a hotel, we are not included in the hotel section. La Villeggiatura is a b&b as clearly specify on the web-site you used to take your reservation along with all the details of the house including the fact that ours is a 16th century palace and that we have 6 rooms, not 2-3 as you wrote...I am very happy that you had a nice stay. Dear Sir, we are always happy to receive any review: whatever the score or comment, for us it is important to improve our service. Reading your feedback I realize that none of your statements relate to our service or location or room but rather the structure, the building, and so I wonder if the b&b's information and descriptions have actually been read by you before booking. La Villeggiatura is not a hotel, as you wrote, but a bed and breakfast: a typical Venetian residence located in a Seventeenth century building. We love our city and our desire is to preserve its historic buildings as intact as possible. For this we clearly indicate in the descriptions and also in our confirmation email that the b&b is on the third floor, without a lift (which we will never put in). Despite this, La Villeggiatura offers an accurate and personalized service: as you confirmed giving a very good feedback for our check-in service. The advertisement is not formulated at random but it is the result of all the comments made by customers who have stayed at the b&b so I don't see how it can be misleading ... Regarding the shower instead I would like to underline that it is a standard size shower and that no one has ever complained about its size. On the other hand, you have chosen a classic room, we also have superior rooms and junior suites: I hope to welcome you in the future in one of those bigger rooms that, I'm sure, better suit your needs. Thank you for taking the time to write a review but it would have been more correct of you to write the truth. You have made a reservation for 2 adults only in a classic room, that is our smallest room (perfect for two people but NOT for a family of 4). I'm sorry but just because we are a first class b&b, I would never have let 2 adults and 2 children sleep in a bed, despite being a king-size. Although I have specified in my confirmation email "2 adults", you have never written that you would have been 4: if you did I would have immediately warned you that the room you chose could not accommodate your family and therefore no surprise on arrival. LUCKY we had a larger room available where your family stayed comfortable for 2 nights. And this is the most important thing for me. Regarding breakfast: you never asked me not to do it. It was included in the price and I can't know, unless you say so, whether or not you want breakfast: we have always prepared it anyway counting you too. Regarding the price: the largest room obviously has a higher price, usually 20/25 euros/night more. The cost for the older girl's stay is usually 25 euros per night (a standard single bed not a cot, service and breakfast) Obviously the stay for the baby was free. We offered you a discounted price of 25 euros per night instead of 45/50 euros. I honestly don't understand your disappointment. We welcomed your "unexpected" family, we offered you a large and comfortable room and all at a discounted price. In these circumstances we usually receive thanks, not a negative review. Honestly, I can't speak for all hoteliers in Europe, but I think we would all like to know that you are traveling in 4 and not in 2. Everything I did from the moment you arrived to your departure was intended to give you the best stay and service: this is our style.
