Good cost effective way to see venice!!Posted Mar 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is a nice hotel and good pricing. This hotel is on the Lido de Venice and it is a cheap compared to the very expensive hotels on the Venice main areas. You need to factor in about EURO 30 to 50 per person for the waterbus pass (depending on the length of your stay). Overall, it worked out well for us.

Good stay!Posted Mar 23, 2013
Pros: Friendly staff, good breakfast
Cons: Being on Lido meant a lot of time wasted on vaporetta
Location: Lido is a nice island, much less crowded that Venice Grand Canal area.
Very close to vaporetta station. Easy to find on the main boulevard. Grocery store right next door, as well as places to eat. Friday and Saturday night drinkers get a little loud until the early morning hours, which was a little annoying. Room was smaller than they appeared in online photos. Twin beds are very narrow, but comfortable. Bathroom was big and well lit. Had an empty shelf in the mini bar fridge, so we bought our own drinks at the grocer. The reception staff was very helpful and courteous. Good English. Breakfast was very good, including eggs and bacon. Enjoyed staying here!

I didn't realize how far out of Venice this hotel was but it was in a lovely town and close to the boats. The room was small but adequate. The shower, you had to hold the water nozzle as it wasn't attached to the wall like a normal shower. This was a nice hotel and would stay here again.

Good value for money and very helpful staffPosted Mar 3, 2013
Pros: We were glad that it was lovely and warm in our hotel room as it was pretty chilly weather during our stay!
Cons: The room was a little basic, but as you'd expect for the amount we paid for our entire trip! The main thing was it was clean and had all we needed.
Location: We were a bit wary of being further away from main Venice, but actually turned out to be a good thing, and was a novelty to catch the boat everyday
I recently went to Venice with my boyfriend as a last minute deal with Expedia, and we had an absolutely fantastic time! We stayed at the Hotel Boulevard which has been awarded 4 stars but I would rate more like a good 3 star hotel due to the general decor and facilities of our standard double room...however... The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the breakfast was a great start to a long day's sightseeing and the location was really good - very easy to find from the Vaparetto stop. The room was basic, but absolutely perfect for our 3 night stay, and had an amazing view of The Alps on a clear day! Don't be put off by being on the Venice Lido; it was really amazing being able to take-in the wonderful vista of the lagoon as we got the vaparetto over to Venice each morning, and it meant we got some respite from the busy touristy zones each night. There were a few good value restaurants near the hotel which offered a great choice of food, and there was a supermarket virtually opposite where we got bottles of water and lunch each morning. My only comment is that it only became apparent to me that we needed to pay tourist tax after reading about it on someone else's review so do your homework and make sure you know how much you owe, otherwise the hotel staff are happy to help you calculate this (based on a fee per person per night). Fantastic stay and I would definitely recommend for a city break.

Hotel was very convenient to the water taxi stop in a quiet neighborhood a short ride from San Marco via water taxi. Bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly.
