Older style, good value, great location!Posted Sep 14, 2014
Was a little bit unsure about accommodation in Venice, but honestly this surpassed my expectations! Everything was positive, even the wifi worked well (although our room was directly above the lobby), breakfast was simple but good, even had lovely cappuccinos! All the staff was above and beyond! My only negative was that it is in a fairly busy location and right next to a church, so the bells do toll in the mornings at varying times, nothing ridiculously early, but pedestrian noise etc can be an issue. One night was really noisy, the other not at all. Our room was right on the street though, there are quieter rooms on the other side I'm sure! The aircon works beautifully which can mean you can have the window shut at night! Just need to ask reception to put it on for you. BUT, that said, the location is perfect in every other way because there are good restaurants fairly close, the ferry stop is about 20m away (and you can bring your luggage on the ferry no problem!) and it's only a 15 min ferry ride to the main square.... But not so close that you pay huge amounts for food etc. Would stay here again!!

3 night stayPosted Aug 19, 2014
This hotel is close enough to everything but is off the main streets. The room was decorated nicely and was quite big. I did not use the bar or have breakfast there. But I had to leave at 6 am and the night considered was happy to get up early for us and let us out.

Close to the train station, but not too close.Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: Convenient enough location and a quiet building. Only 2 bridges from the bus stop and 1 from the train station, both with ramps for wheeled bags.
Cons: The ticket machine at the Marcuola varaporetto stop rarely worked so you need to go to the nearest tobacco shop to get tickets.
Location: Reasonable meals can be found nearby away from the main walkway.
The hotel was quiet and convenient to the vaporetto stop. The included breakfast was more than adequate. The staff was friendly and helpful. While most of the Venice sites are within an easy walk, we got a vaporetto pass to get to stops across the Grand Canal or as far away as Murano. Our room had an in-room safe, refrigerator and a tiny but useable shower. It was pleasant to picnic on the canal-side steps of the adjacent church with a view of the Grand Canal activity. There is a nearby Co-op and Billa store for groceries and wine. The building has been upgraded but still has historic charm.

Ok hotelPosted Jun 15, 2014 on Hotels.com
The air conditioning was not good at all. They turn it off at the main desk when you walk out of the building and turn it back on when you pick up your key to return to your room. Needless to say it never cools off. It was in the mid 80's outside during the day.

Pros: Location. By the water bus stop. One street over is the Main Street with many shops. It Is a very small hotel but have good breakfast.
Cons: Bathroom is small but adequate.
Location: Everything . Can go by water bus to anywhere.
Good experience. Even have umbrellas for guests to borrow when it rains, which it did for a couple of afternoons.

Nice, Quiet, ClosePosted Jun 6, 2014 on Hotels.com
Two water taxi stops from the train station, maybe a half mile walk. On a quiet little canal. Easy to get to everything from here. Had a room for 3, and we fit fine.

Simple clean hotelPosted Jun 5, 2014
Not too bad. The room is simple and clean, though kind of dated. Breakfast is good. Just next to ferry station, which is 2 stops from railway station.

Great Location & Huge RoomPosted May 23, 2014
Travelled with a friend and was impressed with the size of our room. Our twin room had one queen bed and a twin and plenty of more space in the bedroom and the bathroom was large for Europe too. Breakfast was nothing fancy but ample enough to get the day started. Enjoyed the location - everything was a short walk away and there's a vaporetto stop right outside the hotel. Hotel looks very clean but my allergies were terrible anytime I was in the room. Overall I would recommend; it is a great location at a decent price for Venice.

Great place to stay in VenicePosted Sep 27, 2013
Pros: Breakfast included coffee, cheese, meat selection, croissants, jams, yoghurt, juices. Location amazing and quiet - right on side canal.
Location: Wandering this area of Venice was great - close to tourist stuff but off beaten path so you can explore without throngs of crowds.
Stayed for 3 nights, location was very convenient and only a few minutes to big tourist areas via AGTV water transit - steps to the station Lots of local shopping like grocery store close by, restaurants. Liked that location was quieter - do not have hundreds of tourists wandering by at all areas. Located right on side canal - very charming. Staff very helpful - provided us with electrical adapter for charging, corkscrew. Breakfast was great - capuccino amazing.
