Just back from a fantastic Venice trip, hotel room was lovely, modern and clean, location fabulous, in a quiet area but less than 10 minutes walk to main sites, staff so helpful and had great restaurant recommendations, would definitely return👍

The room was a typical room you can expect in a European hotel, but it gets 5 stars for the location, view and friendliness of the staff. I was amazed to be able to find such an affordable hotel in such a beautiful location. It's within walking distance from several restaurants and major attractions, but the hotel itself is located on a little side street where almost no tourists go, so you're getting the true Venetian experience. This is also the only hotel I've stayed at in Europe that had a proper front desk. GPS is HIGHLY recommended, as the property will be very difficult to find without it. The only thing I will complain about is the breakfast lady was a little annoying. She kept coming over to our table and putting food on it, when we just wanted to be left alone and grab what WE want ourselves. She also rationed out the meat, which is the one thing we wanted more of.

Quaint, clean, comfortable...good location too!
Within walking distance of St. Mark's Square, situated on a small canal, the Locanda Silva was clean and comfortable. Friendly front desk person; check-in was quick. Note that the front desk is up one flight of stairs, and then two flights of stairs to our room, which was spacious and clean. Comfortable bed. The bathroom and shower is on the small side, but manageable. There was an armoire, desk, and wall TV. Reading lamp on the nightstands (thank you!). The front desk is manned until 11pm. Breakfast comes with the room; served at 8am in a community dining room. Hot breakfast items, pastries, fruit, coffee; all delicious! We enjoyed our nightly walk from St. Mark's Square through the neighborhood and along the canal.

The hotel was easy to find and only a short walk from St Mark’s Square and the Rialto Bridge. The staff were friendly and very helpful and on reception spoke excellent English. Breakfast was plentiful. We got the boat from the airport to San Zacharia/St Mark’s but to return walked a little further to Fondament te Nove which halves the journey time back to the airport

Meh. The location was great, but the hotel was just ok. The girl working the front desk was pretty rude and didn’t explain how to work the air conditioner (it was 90 degrees out) and just said, “yeah, it’s hot for us too”. Beds were not comfortable, shower was small. Like, I couldn’t shave my legs with the door closed small I’m 5’8”.

This was a great little hotel that was very economically friendly. The staff were super helpful and pleasant, and the location was convenient. Breakfast was included and though it didn't have a lot of options, was tasty. The downside, like many European properties, is there is no elevator.

Clean, comfortable older hotel in good location.
This older, smaller hotel is located near San Marcos square and shopping. Our family stayed in a quad room with 4 comfortable twin beds and a private bath/shower with plenty of hot water. The air-conditioner condenser was dripping water at night, and the staff got it fixed the next day. Daily cleaning with fresh towels. The hotel staff was helpful and polite. As most hotels, it was a little tricky to find at first.

There is no elevator, very small room w/ shared bathroom and green old carpet on hallway. Breakfast is not that great at all. The only thing good is the location near S. Marco and gondola pier. The staff is friendly though.
