Fantastic hotel in exactly the right location

Posted Apr 21, 2015
Pros: It was just amazing !
Cons: Outside seating area to relax in the sunshine with a nice glass of prosecco
Location: Right next door to St Marks Square and all the lovely designer shops. Gondolas and water taxis available straight from the hotel pier.
Beautiful hotel, friendly and helpful staff. A little expensive - but worth every penny.

Idealer Ausgangsort für Stadtbesichtigungen

Posted Apr 20, 2015

Pros: very nice room
Location: close to everything i want, restaurants, shopping and tourist spots
it's very close to where the water taxis took me. They took care of our suit cases before the check in time. It is very close to where where tourists go.

We had a great stay. We were given an amazing room overlooking the canal with a balcony. I was so amazing, I proposed to my girlfriend on this balcony. Thank you to the wonderful staff for everything.

Fantastic location

Posted Apr 3, 2015
Pros: The location, facilities, décor and manner of staff.
Cons: The room was very warm overnight and would have benefited from the air conditioning being turned on.
Location: Central location right next to St Marks Square.
The hotel was fabulous in the best location right next to St Marks Square. The staff could not have the been more helpful and the facilities in the room were excellent. The décor of the hotel was typically Venetian and very grand. Would happily go back and stay there again.

Well located hotel - stayed 10 March 2015 2 nights

Posted Mar 25, 2015
Pros: See pros.
Cons: See cons.
Location: Close to: St Mark's Square, Harry's Bar, Florian Cafe, Rialto Bridge.
The hotel is within walking distance from Piazzale Roma, no transfer necessary. It is close to St Mark's Square. Take a left out of the back of the hotel to the renowned Harry's Bar, 2 Bellini’s cost €36.30/£26.77, but has to be done. A gondola ride costs €80.00/£59.00 for half an hour – the going rate. Pros: The hotel is nice, very Venetian & well located. We had booked a Superior Room, but were upgraded twice upon our arrival once to room 214 (see cons) & then to a Junior Suite (room 256), which was far better. It was a spacious room with large sofa & chair, coffee table, mini-bar, desk & chair, walk in dressing area, fair sized bathroom with double sinks & bath with shower. View was a street view - only noisy if the windows were open. Complimentary macaroons & bottled water in room. Breakfast plentiful in the beautiful ballroom serving both English & Continental. Staff friendly, helpful & accommodating. Staff gave us a map of Venice & recommended places of interest. Cons: Breakfast buffet served on small plates (side plate size!). English breakfast comprised scrambled eggs, hot dog style sausages & the bacon being fried parma ham. Stick to the continental! The fruit juices were more like squash than freshly squeezed juice. Room 214 was a nicely decorated room, which was the first room they upgraded us to, but it had no view & the double bed was made up of two single beds. There was also no bath. No tea/coffee making facilities in either of the rooms.

Hotel in position A

Arrived at the door by water taxi which was lovely. Staff helpful and friendly. Our room was on the street to the water bus and noisy so we asked to be moved and we got a lovely quiet room. The hotel is adjacent to St Marks square so it's near everything. Would definite go back.
